Rush Limbaugh still getting kid-glove treatment on FOXNews.com (WHAT ELSE IS NEW)Reported by Chrish - September 28, 2007 -

As noted this morning, FOXNews.com was not covering the story of Rush Limbaugh's insulting comment, calling some US troops who criticize the Iraq war or call for an end to it "phony soldiers" who show up "out of the blue." Read full background at MediaMatters.org.

As of 7pm EDT there are two links to stories on the FOX webpage, but note that although they are titled differently and have seperate links, they are the same AP story and are entitled to shift focus to Democrats: Dems Criticize Limbaugh's Comments and Democrats Criticize Rush Limbaugh's 'Phony Soldiers'

Remark.Seeing as this is Friday night, fully expect FOX to ignore all weekend (no special on this one!) and dismiss as old news by Monday, unlike with the MoveOn ad, when there was round-the-clock outrage for two weeks with a weekend special to keep the story alive.

FOX doesn't have talking points in place for this - what could they say? "Taken out of context" just doesn't fool too many people when there is a transcript and audio recording, although Limbaugh did try to defend himself today with an edited tape. Keep diggin', maybe he can keep it alive over the weekend all by himself! But expect FOX to continue to ignore, partisan hacks that they are. This is a great example of how they are unfair and unbalanced - having Kirsten Powers on with Michelle Malkin is meaningless window dressing. This gatekeeping of what gets covered is the real meat of the matter.

I heard Rush today apologize to the troops on behalf of Media Matters because they refuse to apologize for publishing his remarks.  I kid you not, that's pretty much what he said.

So Rush feels that Media Matters should apologize to the troops for pointing out that Rush called a man who identified himself as a former military man a "phoney soldier" because he criticized the war.  That's hilarious since Rush's whole existence revolves around marginalizing anyone who disagrees with the Republican machine for which he is the waterboy-in-chief.

He's the waterboy, first and foremost, and that's all he is.

Limbaugh did not invite any active military on his show so that he can say it to thier faces.  Limbaugh failed to mention that 2 of " the phoney soliders out of the blue"  in the New York Times piece died in Iraq about 2 weeks after it was published.

I can't even recall the case, but it was early 80's. I recall that all U.S. citizens and noncitizens for that matter have a constitutional right to a K-12 education. The constitution makes no more mention of education then it does the right ot an abortion yet people have that right too.

Plyler vs. Doe 1982 rulled it is unconstitutional to deny a public education to children who are in the U.S. illegally, based on the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which says “no State shall…deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

 This summation by the "activist" Supreme Court

"Whatever his status under the immigration laws, an alien is a "person" in any ordinary sense of that term. This Court's prior cases recognizing that illegal aliens are "persons" protected by the Due Process Clauses of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, which Clauses do not include the phrase "within its jurisdiction," cannot be distinguished on the asserted ground that persons who have entered the country illegally are not "within the jurisdiction" of a State even if they are present within its boundaries and subject to its laws "

The solution....dont let them in or don't provide public funds for education.  But...

The Democrats believe illegals SHOULD is what I said (scroll up if you don't believe me.) I didn't say they do athough they clearly are receiving instate tution in many states.

 Have you seen Senator Durbin's DREAM act that will give illegal aliens cheaper tuition than many legal residents in some cases. All illegal aliens get instate tuition in all states. U.S. citizens will only get instate tuition in their respective states where their parents PAY taxes. Dingy Harry Reid supports that idea too.

They are apocryphal inventions of liberals who have no respect for military personnel. Liberals shamefully construct these "people" in an effort to deveop a negative story line about the war effort.

With liberals, the ends always justify the means. They do whatever necessary to acquire power so they can implement socialism. I would prefer that they simply move to a socialist country.

Perhaps Texas can succeed from the Union again. You guys can become there own little reactionary paradise, where everyone makes big bucks and lives in gated communities,  all poor are winos derelicts and drug addicts relegated to death, no environmental regulations, no pesky over site.  You could deport all people who refuse to register Republican or accept Jesus Christ as there Personal Lord and Politician.

Women would be prohibited from wrapping towels around there head after a shower upon penalty of death!
