Why is the media misleading us about the recent Israeli violation of Syrian airspace on September 6th?  The Israeli raid on Syria?   In all of these articles there seems to be a message that Syria is staying silent or we wont know what happened until the US and Israel tell us.    
 
Dr. Jack Wheeler of the right wrote "Why would the Syrian government be so tight-lipped about an act of war perpetrated on their soil?"  The Washington Post writes: "There has been no official confirmation of the targets or results of an Israeli air raid in northeastern Syria on Sept. 6." 
 
What does "official" mean?  Only US an Israel sources?  How would anyone have ever known this event had taken place if Syria did not speak out?    Whether or not Syria is telling the truth is besides the point.  Assuming Syria is in the wrong without any context from Israel is ridiculous.  And by the way, why is it OK for Israel to not speak up about this?  
 
The Washington Post goes on to write " It nevertheless is beginning to look as if Israel may have carried out the boldest act of nuclear preemption since its own 1981 raid against Iraq's Osirak nuclear complex. If so, its silence is shrewd. It has allowed Syria to avoid a military response and every other Arab state to pretend that nothing happened." 

Who is pretending "nothing" happened?
 
This is what Syria's UN envoy Bashar Jaafari said to the UN on 9/12: "We cannot dictate to the Security Council the way it should react, but they should react because it is their duty. What happens is a violation of the (UN) charter, violation of the sovereignty of a member state of the United Nations and both the secretary general and the Security Council should assume their responsibilities by reacting to such an aggressive act," he told reporters."
