In his blog, Mark Kilmer asserts "Ron Paul does not belong in the race for the GOP nomination."  Hmm, I thought that was something Republican primary voters should decide.

But here's the clincher: "Ron Paul has ceased to be that amiable figure, the eccentric insisting that government derives its mandate only from the consent of the governed."

Oooh, what a dangerous, eccentric radical, insisting that the power of the American Government derives from the consent of the governed!  Excuse me?  From whence else is it derived?  Divine right of Kings?

Kilmer just goes to show you that he not only doesn't believe in the democratic process within his own party.  It's their party.  If they want to have an official political litmus test to hold or run for office, so be it.  Make it official.  Or you can just have the party nominate candidates.  Worked for the Soviets.  (PS. Screw Ron Paul.)

But not only does Kilmer not believe in the central core of democracy, he insists belief in it is eccentric.  Hence, NOT the norm for Republicans.
