TSA wants to deny domestic flights boarding w/o 72 hour notice.

Transport Security Administration has proposed new rules that will require Americans to get government permission 72 hours in advance prior to being allowed to board a domestic flight.
The TSA justifies this extraordinary violation of our constitutional rights on the grounds that 90 to 93 percent of all travel reservations are final by then.

So what?!

And what of the 7 to 10 percent of flights that the TSA estimates are not on the books 72 hours in advance? These are family emergencies and critical business deals. What does the TSA care if a member of your family dies while you await the government’s permission to fly?

Any agency of the government that can propose such a tyrannical regulation should be abolished. The TSA’s mentality shows it to be a far greater threat to Americans than are terrorists.

I wouldn't worry about it. The airlines will send their lobbyists to Washington with a fist full of dollars.

Fix that problem right up.

Tourism in the U.S has dropped sharply because people from other countries are afraid to come here. They are a afraid that if they answer a question wrong they will end up in git mo..A friend of mine from Detroit was detained at the Canadian border because she had an apple in her car.. What did they think she was going to throw it at someone in a terrorist attack? They used the excuse you cant bring fruit in or something to detain her and question her.

P.S she might have looked terrorist like because she has a dark complexion .. dark hair.. dark eyes..  but is GREEK/AMERICAN

I can see the first arrest now,

"I'm sorry your wife was in a tragic accident this morning sir, but you didn't confirm your flight three days ago, but I can go ahead and put you on the list for a flight on Thursday if you like."

"What's that? Your wife of 34 years is in a coma from the accident and may not live through the night? Well I suppose you should have considered that before you didn't confirm you reservation before the 72 hour deadline."

"Sir I know you told me that she was in an accident this morning, but it's not my fault that you didn't plan ahead for the unforeseen."

"Well the good news is if your wife does die tonight we can have you home in time for the funeral."

"Sir you need to step back and put down your cane."

"SECURITY TO THE CHECK IN COUNTER....SECURITY TO THE CHECK IN COUNTER."

Next days story would probably read something like.

A grieving man who was trying to get home to his dying wife was pepper sprayed, tazed, and beat down by airport security yesterday when he tried to book a flight before the mandatory 72 hour government approval. The airport officials report that security was just doing it's job when they arrested the 73 year old man whose wife died while he was being detained overnight and questioned by homeland security.

Now I'm sure that......well actually with the clowns that are running this country right now I'm not that sure, but perhaps someone.....like a low level non appointed employee, has thought ahead to what to do in cases of emergency travel, but for me the last thing I want to deal with if I have to travel for a family crisis is some pin head trying to walk me through the hoops to get the necessary "exception" to allow me to get on a plane.

Of course I'm probably being totally unreasonable, and must be cheering for the terrorist to win.

...The grieving 73 year old man is now being detained and questioned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He actions have lead Homeland Security officials to believe he is an enemy combatant.

He had a pack of gum in his pocket and the foil on it could be used to set off a nuclear weapon . Of course the people that supplied the reason for his arrest to the press are traitors and love terrorists.
