I received this email from youtube today...

After being flagged by members of the YouTube community and reviewed by YouTube staff, the video below has been removed due to its inappropriate nature.

PHONEY SOLDIERS by Rush Limbaugh:
The YouTube Team

This was my response back to them:

I was very saddened to receive an email telling me you removed a video I uploaded... You did not tell me why, just a vague reference that it was flagged by members as being inappropriate. Did you read the comments on that particular video? The negative ones were all Rush Limbaugh supporters but there were many positive ones also.  I know it is your server and you can do as you please with any video but it sure seems unfair that members can flag a video that doesn't agree with their ideology as inappropriate and thus its removed, without rebuttal.  Sad but true fact of life in what we think is a democracy. Thanks, thinkingblue

On the website
http://www.thethinkingblue. com/... it's a remake of the Rush Limbaugh video from YOUTUBE The only changes I made were less pictures. The original film had many images of the devastation of war, on all people involved, the men, women and children caught in the horrors of war. I don't know why YOUTUBE pulled the video but I thought perhaps it was because of those sad pictures. We Americans get a WHITEWASHED version of the war and maybe YOUTUBE wanted to keep it that way. But if it was because of what Rush Limbaugh said on the uncut audio of his show and YOUTUBE was protecting him... THE SHAME IS ON YOUTUBE, who like so many on the right, spin, twist and cajole TRUTH until it no longer resembles actuality, just so it will fit their account of reality.

You can also view it here: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=66a_1193582160

Also, friend of mine, put it back on youtube in a shorter less intense version. Will see how long that lasts... so far I don't think the hatefuls who are glued to Limbaugh's hip have found it yet... thanks, thinkingblue

OhGr made a music video (Majik) several years ago  portraying "Bush" as a war profiteering dictator that viewed the things he did through rose colored glasses.  It first appeared on MTV, but then was pulled because of the complaints by the extreme right.  After that you couldn't find it anywhere on the net for several months, until someone later uploaded it to youtube and it has since spread back across the net.

The NeoCon's  will do whatever they can to censor blunders, lies, and corruption that lead back to this administration in office.

It was probably deleted because you didn't explain the difference between a phony soldier and a real soldier. Here is some help.

Here is the story of Jesse Macbeth. He was a hero to all liberals across America because he spoke out against the War in Iraq and all of the problems he witnessed while he was in country. Macbeth is another proud member of Veterans Against the War. He was paid handsomely to participate in this film. The problem is that Jesse never went to Iraq. He was never an Army Ranger. Jesse is a PHONY SOLDIER. He is the kind of soldier that is a figment of the imagination of leftists who are praying for America’s defeat in the Middle East.

Here is the story of Andrew Robinson. He is a hero to conservatives across America, because he enlisted in the Armed Forces and volunteered to go to Iraq to fight al Qaeda. Andrew Robinson is a REAL SOLDIER.

Here is another real soldier. Unfortunately, he is not a hero to liberals, because they don’t like what he has to say about the War in Iraq. Liberals want America to surrender to al Qaeda.

Travis Youngblood knew the risks when he volunteered. His family is very proud of him, and they support the War in Iraq. Liberals don’t like the story of this REAL SOLDIER. Democrats want to bring the troops back home from the Middle East, so America can spend a trillion dollars every year to hide the world’s most powerful military from al Qaeda. Shame on the Democrats.

John Wroblewski's family is 101% behind the War in Iraq. They know that America is killing hundreds of al Qaeda terrorists every month.

Jesse Strong was nothing like Jesse Macbeth. Jesse Strong was a REAL SOLDIER. Jesse Macbeth is a little punk Democrat.

When I post a good comment, it seems a shame to only use it once.

IS DISTURBED. War should never be thought of as a tool to get what one (as in superpower) desires. Unfortunately, because of the covetous nature of human beings it may become necessary when some greedy despot uses his armies and weaponry to attack a sovereign land in order to gain power and fortune. (think Bush/Cheney, think Iraq) Any brave young person sent to fight in a war whether it be an unavoidable or illegal one, is honorable and without culpability. So there is no such thing as a phony soldier. All the name calling from the right-wing is silly and infantile... Will they ever grow up? Probably not!! Too much fun to be had in playing these games (all the while, the men, women and babies, tangibly caught up in the ugliness of war are being slaughtered)! That is why there will always be the Limbaugh's who feed off the mass hysteria of the child-brains and get rich while doing so.

False or deceiving; not truthful; concocted; insincere or deceitful; affected or pretentious individual falsely claiming to be a person with experience in military service, or falsifying military records. They are routinely and frequently used as tools by Democrats and the American Left to falsely impugn the War on Terror.

Recent examples of liberals celebrating phony soldiers include:

Two words: so what?
If so called "phony soldiers" are against the misguided war in Iraq, why do you think that would suddenly justify that war?
That would be the same as a liberal reasoning that, since John McCain recognises global warming, global warming doesn't exist. McCain might be a right wing nut-job, but that doesn't mean everything he stands for is wrong per se.

But I suppose such resoning goes beyond someone who would believe anything so long as it is wrapped in a flag.

I couldn't help but to notice that you failed to mention Pat Tillman in your list there Ken.  Did you just forget about him?  Or was he left out of the talking points that you cut-and-pasted from whichever think tank(s) you get your information from?

Not sure why KenTx has so much anger. Has he been subjected to horrors of war himself or is he just sitting at his computer stirring up undirected emotions?

My friend took video from her 4x4 while driving round the new village she moved to in Devon and posted it on Youtube for friends. You tube took it down saying it promoted bad driving practices lol

the "flaging system"
by North Country Dem on Sat Oct 27, 2007
What may be happening is that the Dittoheads are "flagging" your video.  When a video is flagged on You Tube, it goes to some low level functionary who then reviews it to see if it should be removed.  If the functionary decides to remove it, you get the letter you got.  Just keep reposting it over and over, or have your friends do it.  It will go through the process over and over again.  Eventually they will get tired of it and let it stay, or a different person will review it when flagged, someone who may hate Rush as well. Good luck.

What's shocking here to me is that nobody suggests the obvious:  Hit them back.

How many TYT members here would participate in a campaign to wage war by flagging any Limbaugh/O'Reilly/Medved/Ha nnity/Coulter/etc. clips?

This would also be an interesting sociological experiment and litmus test for me to determine exactly how much hope there really is for the U.S., because if no such counter-campaign can originate from the members of this website, then fascism is truly and conclusively going to win in the U.S.  My guess is that maybe 5 people would participate, if that.

First suggested candidates for the countercampaign:

As it will soon be evident, TYT youtube channel was suspended today.  Not one video but the whole channel.

 Stay tuned to be disgusted.

Ken, you really piss me off.  And I know that makes your smile- you jerk.  I know of no liberal who likes to hear from people who lie about curcumstances just so they can say "ah ha".  Over one hundred soldiers have comitted suicide since coming back from Iraq.  I am sure some of them did not feel good about what they saw or maybe did while over there.  I hope noone called them a phony soldier just before they ended their life.  Do you really expect everyone who has been in this war to have wonderful things to say about it?  I do think some soldiers felt justified in their actions while some did not.  Neither is likely wrong.
