It's no different than what was done with Al Gore and there was no more truth to the rumors, or IS THERE?  The lie that he claimed to have invented the internet was propagated by a handful of organized groups and it was all over the press.  They made Gore look like a clown and lessened his credibility. It would be great if it was a bit fairer in the media.  Why shouldn't the Republican candidates have to undergo the same level of made up crap about them that the Republicans love to use against their opponents? It's because as Cenk said, there are groups that do that on the Republican side and they are ORGANIZED.  The Democrats don't have these henchmen working for them, it would appear.  The completely true, verifiable crap about Rudy Giuliani could be damaging him more than it has.  Part of it is the lack of organization and the other seem to be the media.  They brush it off and emphasize haircuts and laughs. 

They asked Dennis Kucinich about a UFO sighting. (I used Google to spell check his name and the first hit is a Fox News article about the f-ing UFO, Dennis Kucinich's comments about UFO prove he's nuts.)  I suppose they are going to ask Giuliani any time now about the press conference where he announces his divorce of his former wife.  This could be the question: Press conferences. You've made them dozens of times as mayor and will be expected to make them as President of the United States, if elected.  You don't intend again, to fail to inform some interested party, nation, etc. beforehand about the content of your statements as you did your former wife?  Can you explain why it was important in that case to announce the divorce they way you did?  I won't be holding my breath.  Such a question is far more relevant, and speaks to the character of the candidate, than the one given Kucinich.
Crap like this is why Cenk sometimes go ballistic toward the media and its high time we demand better from the organizations that we are supposed to trust for the facts about the candidates, etc., etc.
