Arizona passes new employer sanctions law

Another state  deals with a problem he Federal Government won't.

PHOENIX -- A tough new employer sanctions law in Arizona has many illegal immigrants contemplating something they once thought was unthinkable -- returning to their home countries to fewer jobs, less money and limited opportunities for their children.

The law goes into effect in January and requires employers to verify the eligibility of workers through a federal database. They would face having their business licenses revoked after a second offense.

Since it was signed into law in July, illegal immigrants have been wondering how they will be affected. They're asking Mexican Consulates to explain the law, calling Spanish-language radio stations for advice and keeping an eye on community newspapers.

Those who are considering going home say they're waiting until January to see whether their bosses will start asking them for papers

State Rep. Russell Pearce, who authored the employer sanctions law, said it was designed to force illegal immigrants to "self-deport."

"Just like Disney -- turn off the lights, shut down the rides and the crowd goes home. No more free stuff," he said.

Good for you Mr. Pearce in doing what should have been done years ago.  Now if your message would sweep the nation, all illegals would migrate back to their homelands.  This issue of illegals getting to roam the country, not pay taxes, and reap all the social benefits for free is ridiculous.  Illegals are one of the reasons healthcare is so high in this country because of their abuse of the system.  They have caused many healthcare providers in California & across the country to shutdown.

No other country would have put up with illegals coming into their backyards for free handouts, and bankrupting many healthcare providers because of their abuse.

Mr. Pearce spread your ideas across the table to all members in the government, and get this message going that "Americans are tired of footing the bill for illegals & businesses that hire them."

States Rights are a good thing. They are guaranteed and protected by the Tenth Amendment in the Constitution.

The states almost always lead the way in developing practical solutions to national problems. Just like Wisconsin showed America how to solve welfare reform, the states of Arizona and Oklahoma are showing America how to solve the problem of illegal immigration.

Predictably, Oklahoma’s House Bill 1804 was written by Republicans and strongly opposed by Democrats.

The Oklahoma law is being attacked by liberals from around the country.

Liberals flipped out
when Democrat Governor Janet Napolitano signed the GOP sponsored bill.

As you might have suspected, "Mr Pearce" is a Republican!

What happens when they try to go back home and they can't get home because acroso's fence has them locked in?

Tax Amnesties as a reward for sef-deportion make sense. Dems like to call it report to deport (they don't like it.) If you are deported by ICE, you lose all property that you have since you aren't a citizen and never had a right to it anyway. So say you have 30K saved up from working here from last  years or whatever amount, then you get deported you lose it all.

So we make amnesties that allow you to take income out of the country in exchange for going back across by yor own will.

We can't seriously do this right now though because people will use it to move money\property and even illegal contraband legally out of the U.S.A., and then walk right back over the border the next day once they have secured the money in Mexico.

We need full border fencing first along with chipping away at VISA overstayers.

and do what?

Come back and do whatever they were doing before the left. The amnesty would effectivily just be another reward for law breaking.

If you're seeing to many raids and getting nervious and your neighbors losing their property, then you quick register your money to take back legally and then just come right back across and resume your activity.

Until that border is secure we can't talk about doing anything else.

I said...

We have tax amnesties to allow them to cross back legally with earned income and property (after we secure the border)

thing was a joke.

If you cut off their source of income, they just leave. It really is not all that complicated.

It might have been a joke, but it was also a question, and had a Q mark at the end of it.

I gave you the solution to that problem.
