The Democratic Party could be the stupidest party ever.

... grows wearisome, largely because it is schizophrenic.

In one moment, Cenk rails that "the Democrats are weak"; in another he'll praise a single Democrat for some good deed; in another he'll say we don't need more progressive Dems, just stronger Dems; and in yet another he'll castigate the lazy, pro-corporate media for the state we're in.  And to followup, Cenk will chide those who believe in fair trade, stating that he's more a free trade kind of guy, siding with the very DLC entities he otherwise derides.

Cenk's commentary seems largely anti-Bush, and with very little foundation in real progressivism -- for a show broadcast on a purportedly "progressive" network (oK, it's still better, far a long shot, than Lionel) -- and, short of a short-lived "Enough!" effort, offers very little insight for listeners on educating themselves and getting active in politics.

1)-I don't see a contradiction with praising individuals who strongly stand apart from a group that generally speaking *is* weak.

2)-I've remarked before that if there's a new co-host I would LOVE for that person to be more of a populist/progressive on economics (in addition to being funny and well informed, of course).  That would make a great foil for Cenk and add a currently missing element to the show (and likely bring in more listeners).

After all, what progressive is going to disagree with him (that much) on foreign policy and constitutional issues, generally speaking?

3)-There isn't necessarily a contradiction in rallying against the corporate media and being pro free trade. If anything, a contradiction would be someone rallying against our awful mainstream media while supporting more media consolidation (which is currently under consideration by the FCC).

But now that I mentioned it, I *am* curious about Cenk's thoughts on media consolidation and also, Clinton's FCC Telecom Act of 1006.

PS---What DO you like about the show?
