NFL & Steelers: "Un-American"

Ah yes, the ridiculous things people choose to get mad about.

Come on, they can't be serious?  Fake outrage (or outrage over nonsense) is one of my pet peeves.

And this story fits the bill.

PS---On an unrelated note, I can't believe the Ravens didn't pull off the upset the other night.  The Patriots were so incredibly lucky to the point of absurdity.  And yes, I can't stand the Patriots.  They really are the (90's)Yankees of football, although I give them more credit and respect because of the salary cap (unlike the Yankees, or for that matter, the Red Sox).

I was in the gym at the time and howling at the television.

What's more, I only drew a couple of bewildered looks.  When they saw what I was watching, they immediately understood.

Although I'm sure there are plenty of Patriot Lovers.  If you have fantasy players like Brady/Moss or live in the area, I get it, you should be a Patriot lover.

Otherwise, I really don't get it.

I agree that it's a bad precident. It's traditional to have the anthem at American sports games.

It's *probably* part of the homosexual agenda but I'm not sure exactly how yet.

PS---My Bears are horrible.  They need to start Kyle Orton for the rest of the season or I'll be even more pissed. Also, I want them to trade down from what should be a good pick and draft an OT, RB, SS, LB and depending on what Orton does, a QB.

Ya, I think I read that on conservapedia.

Orton was unstoppable in college. I don't know why he stinks in the pros. You'd think after being there a while and learning the system better he'd do better.

Orton doesn't stink in the pros!  He was thrust into action as a Rookie 3 years ago after Grossman got hurt in the 3rd or 4th preseason game (can't remember which).

With almost no practice or experience, he understandably struggled and ended up with 10 wins.

Then Grossman came and took his job back (and we all know how that went).

Orton was great, a heisman candidate until he hurt his leg at Purdue.  At any rate, he deserves a chance over these next three games.  Grossman is a free agent and questionable...very questionable.
