Michael Savage is Gay

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
Michael Savage just called retired Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr, who asked a question during the Republican CNN/You Tube debate, a "gay, phony general."

You know who is a gay phony? Michael Savage.

I just read an old article in Salon about Michael Weiner (his real name) and it's one of the saddest things you'll ever read.

Mocked by his dad, rejected by his liberal friends, scorned by every university he applied to  (for teaching positions) and racked by homosexual desires, Savage turned himself into this racist, xenophobic and homophobic monstrosity.

Money quote below:

Here's an excerpt from the Salon piece (bold added):

This maniacal tendency, and the roiling emotions that fueled it, were laid bare in "Vital Signs," Michael Weiner's first and only book of fiction, published in 1983. A collection of confessional, stream-of-consciousness stories, it follows the exploits of Samuel Trueblood, who just happens to be a 40-ish New York Jew, an herbalist and writer with a tumultuous personal life, a substantial assortment of inner demons and a bit of a Napoleon complex. "I am physically not tall, but my eyes burn with fire," he states. "Two black fires of Hell." Trueblood narrates a series of misadventures, from procuring an illegal backroom abortion for his fiancée to beating the stuffing out of an abusive cop.

Trueblood describes his life as one long search for inner peace. He blames much of his discontent on his "childhood beneath tyranny," during which he was cowed by his bullying father. Trueblood describes how his father mocked him with "brutal jokes and chides, 'gentle' kidding: 'You're not a fag, are you Sam?' the little man would say each time the boy dared wear a colorful shirt or flashy trousers." Unable to shake his dead father's disapproving influence, the adult Samuel is tortured by feelings of weakness and inadequacy. "I am filled with fears," he admits, "nearly all the time feeling I am about to become totally insane."

Even after moving to mellow Marin County, becoming a successful herbalist and starting a family, Trueblood remains plagued by his "underlying sadness." Not even trusty passionfruit tea can bring him off this bummer. In one passage, he almost loses it in front of his wife and two young children:

"Inner voice screaming at me for years, first rational, then crazy, telling me to do mad things. Every form of relief tried, painting, psychotherapy, running, diet, vitamins, etc., etc. Almost uncontrollable now. Impulses to stab children, strangers, wife, self with scissors."

Eventually, Trueblood seeks solace in chasing skirts. (Though he admits to being drawn to "masculine beauty," he confides that "I choose to override my desires for men when they swell in me, waiting out the passions like a storm, below decks.") While his wife stays home with the kids, he beds a young "cockswell" with a "dykish haircut" and skin "[s]ofter than that Northern Indian prostitute in Fiji whose covering was as soft as that of my own penis." And so it goes for another 50 pages.

Michael Savage is on the verge of insanity and most definitely gay. I can't say he is 100% gay because he at least tolerates sex with women. But he is without a shadow of a doubt, at the very least, completely bisexual.

The funny thing is if weren't for people like him, there'd be no problem with that. Then he could come out, sleep with all the men he could get his hands on and finally find that inner peace he has been searching for all his life.

is you and Ben discussing Savage's rant against Muslim women (i.e. they want to slit your throat and spit in your face, etc.).

It's baffling to me that this guy (supposedly) has millions of listeners.

I moved in April from Chicago to the *relatively* conservative Dupage County (probably because it's primarily white, upper class...I'm 1 for 2 on that count).

Anyway, a few months ago I got ouf of my car and heard (what I thought was) a nice old neighbor listening to (drumroll) Michael Savage.

He had his car door open and Savage was in the middle of one of his regular rants.  Granted, maybe he was just flipping through stations or listening for a few minutes (like I sometimes do just to see) but I doubt it.

No one listens to that guy anyway.

Number #3 talkshow in the country behind Stern and Limbaugh. He's the Baskin Robbins of crazy. 31 flavours BABY!

he was the second most listened to conservative host after Limbaugh.

I can't remember where I read that though, so if you can dig up the ratings of conservative show hosts, I'd find it pretty interesting.

These listeners are not the same 14 million people. The numbers are cumulative, and these millions of people vote and influence their friends and family.

The top 12 for spring 2007:

1. Limbaugh, at least 13.5 million

2. Hannity, 12.5 million

3. Savage & Schlessinger, 8 million

4. Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, 5 million

5. Neal Boortz, Mark Levin, Dave Ramsey, 4 million

6. Mike Gallagher, Michael Medved, 3.75 million

7. Jim Bohannon, Clark Howard, Bill O'Reilly, Ed Schultz, Doug Stephan, 3.25 million

8. Bill Bennett, Jerry Doyle, George Noory, 3 million

9. Rusty Humphries, Kim Komando, Lars Larsen, Jim Rome, 2.25 million

10. Bob Brinker, Dr. Joy Browne, Tom Leykis, Mancow, 1.75 million

11. Alan Colmes, Thom Hartmann, Hugh Hewitt, Lionel, G. Gordon Liddy, Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, 1.5 million

12. Dr. Dean Edell, Bill Handel, Opie & Anthony, Michael Reagan, 1 million.

The power of political talk radio is awesome, and it is getting stronger everyday. That's why I'm here.

There was a time when people were spoonfed information and told what to think in newspapers and the nightly news. The dinosaur media is going extinct.

After the 1994 election, Time Magazine tried to figure out WTF hit them in the head. Then they ran this cover.
deal with it

I have to at least get either information or entertainment when I listen to the radio. When I listen to Limbaugh all I hear is a tribute to himself and\or 3 hours of war propaganda niether which I want to listen to nonstop.

He's became incredibly stale. Diddo that to Hannity but at least he has interviews when I happen to hear him.

Are you aware that Rush Limbaugh single handedly thwarted the McCain Kennedy Instant Democrat bill?

by KenTX on 12/05/2007 08:42:28 PM EST

Rush didn't do shit. On the day of the vote he made a fuss but that was about it.

NumbersUSA single handedly thwarted the bill if anyone. Laura Ingraham was harping on that bill for months whereas Rush joined in the day before and then claimed people should be grateful to him for stopping it. Or how about Buchanan, Jerome Corsi, and WND who've been on a crusade for U.S. sovereignty for decades? no credit to them.

Say Rush was helpful in defeating the bill, but Hannity and Dobbs have a better record on the subject. Some of us spend time on the border while other people talk about it.

"There was a time when people were spoonfed information and told what to think in newspapers and the nightly news."

You're using the waterboy to make this point?  He's not only spoonfeeding you he's chewing the food first, partially digesting it and regurgitating it into your mouth.

I can predict with 99% accuracy what his view will be on any news item with political implications.  I can't even do that with my own brothers.  So how can that be?  Because he spews the party line while they actually give their real heart-felt opinions.

He's a sleazy prick.  He could find a way to rationalize murdering 10 year old school kids if it was a Republican party goal.  He reminds me more than anyone else of the communist propaganda machines which cynically rationalized and processed everything to paint the party faithful as heroes and dissenters as traitors.  That's exactly what he does.  He uses all the same tools.

He cheerleads gullible young men to their deaths (but only for Republican agendas) while he is himself personally a coward.  What a despicable human being.

I really don't understand how Savage is taken seriously.  Honesty, I think people listen to him for the mere entertainment value of the absurdity he spits in the mic.  If only The Young Turks show had a Bay Area. timeslot on the radio.

And to think he use to kick it with Ginsberg and Ferlinghetti at City Lights Bookstore....

Cenk claims Savage fancies himself a writer. After writing 4 consecutive NY Times #1 bestsellers, I think Savage can legtimately call himself a writer. BTW, what would Cenk give to have a listening audience of 8 million?

"Cenk claims Savage fancies himself a writer" Huh? Where? BTW, quality trumps quantity.

If Mike Savage is swollen with desire for masculine beauty, he would only be the latest in the long parade of phoney weenies who hate themselves for it and act out in various noisy, obnoxious ways.

by TurksTom on 12/08/2007 07:52:31 AM EST

A guy as prone to angry outbursts as Savage Wiener is should re-examine his career for health reasons.  He's gonna give himself a stroke (and I don't mean the kind that begins with admiring male beauty and ends with ejaculation).
