American's Universities Failing

Does the Fact that more College students are Republicans than Democrats show that Republicans are smarter, or reflect the Dumbing of America.

Other blogs have set forth charts, statistics and statements indicating that every higher level in the US of A’s education ladder, brings an ever increasing number and percentage of Republicans, which some think prove that Republicans are smarter than Democrats.  This also, of course, reflects the fact that on the average, Republicans are richer, which help their offspring pay the expenses of higher education.
However this could be another troubling sign in the international competition to produce intelligent leaders of tomorrow, in areas of science, engineering, business, philosophy, and common sense.  The underlying reasons for American's educational system being surpassed by European, Asian, and other educational systems, such as Cuba's Baseball University have, until now, been unknown.

One can interpret the statistics as showing that the US educational institutions methodically turn Democrats into Republicans, with the rate of conversion being directly related to the length of exposure to this education system.  This had been overlooked by William Bennett and other education leaders, who thought our system was in "Fine and Dandy Shape", and didn't know why those Foreigners were surpassing us.

But now that the Whole World watched as the Republicans not only elected George W. Bush President twice, but in large numbers still actually think he is performing well, this shocking reason for the Dumbing of American is clearly known.

To correct this, a new educational system is being designed undercover (but not in toilet stalls) and will shortly be revealed.  Our Colleges and Universities will actually have to balance courses in Political Science with Reality TV, balance courses in Business with time in the Peace Corp, balance courses in Medicine with Seminars on Mother Theresa, and balance courses in "Why The US Was Founded as a Christian Nation", with courses based on George Washington's famous "I Can Not Tell A Lie" Speech.  ; It will take a great effort, but we can turn this crises around.

Groupthink, brainwashing, and liberal profs using their positions of power to force students to conform to their liberal mantra only works for so long.

Getting out of the L&S department is key. The entire department with the exception of a few core courses seems to be about nothing other than liberalism.

Tell me about it!  My music theory professor spent entire class periods telling us to eat tofu, burn flags and support Palestine.

Sound absurd?  Of course it does, because I made it up. Just like Acroso has a tendency to do.

Wasn't that the guy that had all those jars of aborted fetuses (feti?) sitting on his trophy shelf?

Yeah!  You know him?  The illegal immigrant feminist college professor who drove a Volvo and wore a beret?

I know him.

He is the one who always wore sandals and smelled like a combination of pot smoke and petruli oil.

Great guy.

Is that like a combination of patchouli oil and petroleum?  Because if it is, the song "La Cucaracha" might have been written about a car that runs on it.

As an alumna, I attend college nights at local high schools and recruit for my college. It's a large university with very high standards. The ones that don't get in and want some place to go can always go down the ladder until they find someone who will admit them. My son also has degrees from two very difficult universities where half of the students dropped out or transferred elsewhere.

If students want to go to college and can afford to pay or take out loans, they will find colleges that will take anyone to fill the seats.

It isn't the quality of the better schools that is declining, rather it's the increasing numbers of bottom-rung schools that are dragging down the stats. Most of them are conservative religious schools, so it's not surprising that there are more Republicans. The only surprising thing is that these people are Republicans at all, since they are the ones who are hurt the most by Republican policies.  I've spent quite a bit of time with the recruiters from those schools. If the students they recruit are as ignorant as they are, no wonder they're pulling the stats for US students down.

Most would be better off in universities with more diversity and more liberal professors because they would be exposed to a more broader, more challenging curriculum, and a diverse student population. They might even learn to think for themselves and make their own decisions, and grow out of their brainwashed youth.
