Mohammed wasn't a murdering thug. He was more of a party dude, kind of like St. Matthew, not a misogynist like St. Paul. Mohammed enjoyed drinking, song, women. He also learned a lot from the Jews with whom he lived. Those Islamists who deny that are fooling themselves. Those Christianists who believe in such nonsense are misinformed. It's easier to control and manipulate Christianists and Islamists with fear and disinformation, especially the fear that they will learn historical facts/truth.

Islamists who use Islam as an excuse to abuse women, abstain from alcohol, kill infidels are not true Muslims, i.e. followers of Mohammed. Islamists who define Jihad as war instead of moral obligation, internal conflict, or struggle, and act violently on that are not true Muslim followers of Mohammed. They are only following the local nonreligious traditions of blood wars and xenophobia.

Christians who defame Muslims and vice versa are not true to the teachings of their prophets. Neither Christianity nor Islam teaches adherents to hate and kill. On reading the Bible and Koran, there is more violence in the Bible, in stories, but not advocacy. Don't confuse allegories with history.
