I have been communicating with my representative democrat Rick Larsen for over 5 years prior to the invasion of Iraq.  This guy will do what he thinks will get him re-elected.  I am so tired of this so called deal making.  This guy does not represent me.  He still has respect for this president and this administration.  He blows with the wind and however much money the Boeing Company gives him for re-election.  The reality is the democrats have rolled over for 5 years on the Iraq war.  Any dissenting voices who spoke the truth, aka Jim McDermott, were not so ceremoniously silenced. 
Convince me the democrats are not doormats - look at the last two presidentual elections.  Secret deals my ass - these guys couldn't plan their way out of wet paper bag.  They still think the republicans are trying to work with them.
