Imus has scarred me for life - Not!

Imus has scarred me for life - Not!  Cenk's Get Over it stance on the issue.

I think the comments that the Rutgers women's basketball PR person made about how Imus has scarred her for life is a little over the top.  Imus is a crude old man.  Like in grade school,  In class there would be a bully making fun of some one with his/her buddies and the teacher would call the bully out and say like “is there something you would like to share with the rest of the class””.  This is Imus making fun of somebody with his buddies and he is getting called out.

As far as women being scarred for life?  The comments came out of a crude old man’s mouth.  Why this comment stands out more than any other crude unsophisticated comment that comes out of any radio personalities mouth I don’t know.  Cenk says that everybody just needs to get over it.  I agree.  Like when my brother would make fun of me to get a rise out of me then my mom would have to break it up.  Her advice was always to “Ignore your brother,  don’t encourage him.”  This is my feeling about the Imus situation.

On that note Congratulations Lady Vols!

Exactly. Look at all the coverage this is getting. What something big to make the news? Now you know how to angle it to get coverage.

Its funny cuz the resident troll made an entire thread about how the " liberal media" was letting him get away with it.

I love it when they make such huge assholes out of themselves

Well the libs are uncomfortable because they are having to eat one of their own in this ordeal. libs enforcing the PC code on other libs is always ammusing to watch.

Sharpton and Jackson are out race mongering, and are both at their best. I don't know why those two get to be the enforces n' chiefs of the PC code.

When I was a freshman at the University of Tennessee, Pat Head (Summit) was already the coach of the Lady Vols. I think when I retire, she will still be coaching.

Acroso just nailed it. Liberals are forced to make a difficult decision here. If they let Imus get away with it, they just opened up the game rules regarding what a person can say about minorities. It doesn't get any worse than calling teenage basketball players "nappy headed jiggaboo hoes"!

This is exactly like feminists groups ignoring the fact that Bill Clinton was a rapist and overt sexual predator.

In your vile little mind, I'm sure what Imus said was just fine.

Aren't you embarrassed by your Imus thread?

"Aren't you embarrassed by your Imus thread?"

Not in the least! My point is even more valid today than it was last week, and I hope this topic continues to be on the front page, at the top of the fold.

Don Imus made an unforgiveable comment about minorities. If he is allowed to refer to All-American teenage athletes as "nappy headed jiggaboo whores" on national television and get away with, then there are no rules. Anybody can say anything they want about minorities.

Rush Limbaugh can now make jokes about gays being tied to fenceposts in Wyoming. Liberals like Cenk and Ben can't say a damn thing about it, because they believe that Don Imus should be forgiven.

Next time a conservative makes a stupid comment about minorities, I want all liberals to shut the fuck up, because they didn't say anything about Don Imus.

Next time a conservative is accused of sexual harrassment, I want all liberals to shut the fuck up, because they didn't say anything about Bill Clinton.

Refresh me on when  Clinton make any racist remarks on TV or Radio?  I do recall a couple republicans doing it.

Of course you aren't embarrassed, or you would have stopped posting ages ago.

I didn't say anything about Bill Clinton because he didn't commit sexual harrassment.

Also, Imus is not much of a liberal.

Sharpton just wants blood. If Imus was willing to negotiate with Sharpton, just walk on over to Sharpton's house and drop his drawers, I think this whole thing could be worked out.

Watching the repugs come apart at the seams in scandal after scandal , is even more fun! Since when was Imus a knee jerk liberal?

PC code? Ohhh you mean the one that says racists just aren't going to be tolerated? I bet you sit there wrapped in your confederate flag wishing for the old days don't you.

Imus has done all the right things to get endorsement from the left. He has been bashing the troops and the war, and he endorsed John Kerry in 2004. These actions were supposed to give him cover from political correctness inquisition (Sharpton and Jackson patrolling around) yet apparently the left has to eat their own on this one.
