I wish I had the transcripts from that long winded speech of hoo haa.  But if my ears didn't fool me I think I under stand that McCain just summed up the projected success and the terms of winning this war.  The republican talking point is to win this war. I always wondered what that meant.  The fighting appears to be a civil war from my perspective of what I see and hear on the news and radio.  But the terms of winning that were alluded to by McCain is to gain control of the largest oil reserves in the region.  That us gaining control of that region will secure us and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. 

So is it their intent to let the Iraqi people flee their land and take refuge from the religious and tribal desecration if they can afford to leave.  Then let the ones left destroy themselves so that the US troops protect the contractors so that they can descend on the oil fields and "secure our national security".  It is so clear to me. I feel so stupid now.  Is it worth it to us monetarily to put us in such a weak state fiscally . Is it worth it to the soldiers that have lost their lives to have sacrificed so much on this insane intent to just impose our might onto a region for the take?

I have thought that perhaps we need our troops there to protect and rebuild what we have destroyed so far.  But I think about the people that used to live in that country and still do live there.  Do they want us there?  The "Iraqi" government told us to leave just this week.  "A Historic Trap"  what Sen. Jack Reed just said at 5:15.  How can we be in this situation.   The intent to get back into Iraq was distributed in a memo from whom to whom I do not recall the exact memo, bu that was back in 1990 or 1991.   The terrorist element has not laid the trap.  They just created the landscape for us the American people to fall for this "Historic Trap" to get back into Iraq.
