There is a  Pew Research study that I heard about on my local right wing radio station.

It is pretty positive:  support for suicide bombings and Osama Bin Laden is significantly down.

The right wing spin put on this was this-

Liberals claim that the occupation of Iraq and the "War on Terror" is turning Muslims against us and pushing them towards terrorism and Osaman.
But the Leeeeeberials are wrong according to this poll.
Therefore our fearless leaders policies aren't so bad.

What this right wing bozo neglected to point out is that Americans had a visceral reaction to 9/11 and blindly followed a maniacal bunch of extremists (the neocons). As time has passed many Americans have used their heads and have realized they were following lemming leaders towards the edge of a cliff.

Why not give Muslims the same credit. After the Americans demonizing Muslims and invading Iraq, many Muslims were willing to blindly follow a bunch of maniacal extremists. As time passed many Muslims have used their heads and realized they were following lemming leaders towards the edge of a cliff.

The fact that in many of these countries that more than one in five still see suicide bombings justified despite the decrease in support may largely be because of the neocons disastrous foreign policy.

PS Turkey is the only country listed where support for suicide bombing increased.    ;    &n bsp;     ;   (I'm not saying, I'm just saying ......... ;-) )
