A Cowardly War

"We are fighting them over there, so we don't have to fight them over here"

It Seems to me to start a war in a country that did not attack us, with the purpose of attracting terrorist to a battlefield to fight a conventional war and all the bloodshed and lose of innocent lives and the destruction of a nations infrustructure that comes with it. And to use the blood of our armed forces as the honey in the pot to attract the terrorists is a cowardly way to fight a war.

Bring the troops home now.

It is domestic police efforts and vigilance that keeps us safe at home. Another 9-11 like attack could happen here whether or not we are over there. Being over there makes extremists more motivated in their cause.

That's the least of it.

It's the greatest military/diplomatic/strateg ic disaster in US history.

Saddam, whatever else he was, was a sworn enemy of Al Qaeda.  So was Iran, who helped us in Afghanistan.

The stupidity of the Bush/Cheney/PNAC crew is fathomless, and the damage thay have done incalculable.

If a fraction of the resources that have been wasted, and worse than wasted, in Iraq had been used in Afghanistan, the Taliban would have been wiped out, Al Qaeda would have been wiped out, Bin Laden would be dead or captured, and Afghanistan would be on the road to recovery.

The shiites will take care of "Al Qaeda" in Iraq better than US troops will ever be able to.

It's the greatest military/diplomatic/strateg ic disaster in US history.

It's also a major public image screw-up.  US credibility is way, way down around the world.  I won't call it irreparable, but whoever fixes it deserves time and a half.  Woody Woodpecker couldn't have made a worse PR mistake if he changed his name to Titty Titfucker.

Hell awaits them,

Satan will be pleased to welcome them back,

His own spawn.

He was sure of their return,

Knowing that their twisted wings would never

Lift them to heaven.

The Lancet now estimates that up to a million Iraqis have died because of the invasion/occupation.

There are several million Iraqi refugees in surrounding countries.

We murdered a country.
