I'm not kidding. AOL has asked us to ask you -- our listeners -- to blog for them. They are opening up a new citizen bloggers category for politics. They want people who are passionately interested in politics and willing to write about it.

They are even going to pay -- some small amount. But hey, it's something. More details below ...

They will probably accept about 20 "citizen bloggers" when all is said and done. You guys are among the first to have the opportunity to apply. You need to send an e-mail to Coates Bateman, who runs Newsbloggers for AOL.

His e-mail is: cbateman05@aol.com

I suppose you should include who you are and why you think you would be right for the position. It can't hurt to say you're a Young Turk. They seem to like us and they specifically asked for our listeners and people who write on the Young Turks website.

Good luck. I think it's a great opportunity and I hope many of you wind up getting the positions and participating in what can be a tremendous outlet for your views and opinions.

btw- Linda Chavez has always taken a far left pro-amnesty and pro open borders viewpoint. On the show you seemed to be saying she was against illegal immigration, which is far from the truth.

Conservatives have been trying to get her taken off the townhall staff for a long time.

But open borders are not.

If we keep giving amnesty to everyone who crosses, and never enforcing any of the laws then we'll have open borders.

“President Bush has been active this week. He signed a bill yesterday authorizing an unfunded 700-mile fence along our 2,000-mile border with Mexico. He also has a plan to fight teenage pregnancy with fishnet condoms.” –Bill Maher

"Well, the Senate has voted to approve the building of a 700 mile fence along our 2,000 mile border with Mexico. 700 mile fence -- 2,000 mile border. This is what happens when you let President Bush do the math, okay?"-Leno
