The "L Word" not so Dirty Anymore

Of course I mean "LIBERAL".  The other "L word" was never dirty!

This article was on the McClatchy News this morning.  The bottom line is that during the height of the Reagan Revolution only about 20% of DEMOCRATS identified themselves as liberal and it is currently double that, at 40%.  It's the highest in decades. 

Who says Bush and Cheney are good for nothing?  They have more to do with these numbers than any two people on earth.  Then again, it does show how bad they have been for the country, because it always takes a disaster to unite Americans.

Attempts to brand "liberal" with a negative connotation are part of the Right Wing's War on English (take that, Bill O'Reilly)!  Here's a link to someone who shares my opinion on the subject:

You're probably not too far off in what you're saying.  But let's flip the coin.  What "place is there for a liberal in the Republican party"? 

Now, I don think both parties will and do accomodate MODERATES.  However, as you say, Lieberman is not even moderate when it comes to Iraq.  And I hope there's no place for that in the Democrats.

Whites (none / 0)

The only ethnicity that votes Republican are White people and there used to be a silent majority of them in the 70's and 80's. That now longer holds true so Democrats can now rely on the foreign vote to win elections.

 Right now over half the students in K through 12 are Hispanic. That means if you eliminate and kill off the current adult population, well they will eventually die off anyway, you're left with a Hispanic country.

 Yet we need more immigration! We're not tolerant enough. Deporitng illegal aliens is against the PC code. We must live in a lawless society run by La Raza.

Ya that white only thing isn't working out so well for the Republicans anymore. They try to get the Hispanic vote Hispanics are smarter than the white people that vote against their own interests.
