Terri Schiav-Who?

Check this out -- quite a memory lapse for a presidential hopeful.

"Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson gave no opinion Thursday when asked about efforts by President Bush and Congress to keep Terri Schiavo alive, saying he does not remember details of the right-to-die case that stirred national debate."

You know, I'm neither a former Senator nor a person who has aspirations for running for office, and I remember that whole ordeal vividly. That so dominated the headlines, even people that aren't news junkies had an opinion on it. For Pete's sake, it wasn't even really all that long ago.

The good news for Thompson is that some television dramas track current events and do stories closely based upon things in the news like the Terri Schiavo dispute, so there are ways that he could jog his memory that are more entertaining than having to read through a bunch of old news stories.  For instance, he could watch the November 15, 2005 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit entitled "Starved" starring -- wait for it -- Fred Freaking Thompson.

Personally I try not to get caught up with the looks and coolness of candidates, but damn Thompson looks like some monster from a Halloween scarefest.....

Thompson is 65 I think.

One thing I have noticed is in film clips they show of him walking around in DC wherever is his head shakes (for lack of a better term). It makes you wonder if his Hodgkins is a bit more involved than he lets on.

Reagan  was 67 (?)  during his first campaign  by comparison looked like a GQ model.
