International TYT listeners

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
I´m a Spanish citizen who has been a great fan of the show since aprox. 1 year. I listen to the show live mainly on the website. Just signed up as a member to keep on listening to the show. I was wondering since the internet is a truely global market how many TYT listeners are from outside the USA ? What percentage of the audience is due to international listeners? To how many different countries does Cenk's rants & raves reach out to ? I've posted a poll to try to find out.

Thanks

Hi Jaime!  I'm listening from Canada.  I just signed up for a TYT membership 5 minutes ago, so that I can keep listening.  At least the exchange rate is pretty good now :)

Hello, Kitty.  I listen in lovely Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, near Shimokitazawa.  At least, I used to listen...now that the show's time slot is changing, it's going to air in the middle of the night Japan time, making it a lot harder for me to catch.

(I hesitate to answer the poll because, in Japan, "Asia" is a condescending term for all the Asian countries except Japan.)

Hola Jaime,

firstly those are continents :)
I'm a member listening in from Prague, which was great because the show basically started when I got out of bed at noon :)
Now it'll be on at 9 in the evening, so I'll probably be downloading it more.
Hope the connection problems from the past will be a thing of the post now, since we can't switch to ARR anymore.

damn España, now I'm thinking of Rioja wine, you a fan Jaime? Bodega Faustino is truely amazing

Hi Jaime

That's a great post.  I always wondered the same thing myself, and I am sure the TYT team will be thrilled to know that they have such an international fan-base.

I am a South African living in England and have been addicted to The Young Turks for almost a year now, and been a member for about 4 months.  Thanks to the weak dollar, it works out about the same as a portion of fish and chips!

I have to say, anyone who is not a member should really go ahead and do it.  I decided to sign up for a month and see how it went as I wasnt sure whether I could sacrifice a portion of fish and chips a month.  I've never looked back.  And I am 21lbs lighter now too!

God bless, go forward!

PS. Has anyone else started saying: "I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying." all the time, or is it just me?

That's hilarious--just the other day, I caught myself saying "Init," which elicited a funny look from Mr. Kitty.  I'm starting to think Cenk's goofy "-isms" are rubbing off on me.

 Cheers!

Thank You for the replys to my original post. I decides to use continents 'cause I couldn't list all the countries could I :-D. Messed it up because Central America is really N America according to the map.

Sorry OneHitKill about Japan didn't know ASIA is bad term for Japanese

Callisto, Faustino is an excellent wine but I prefer the "Ribera de Duero" Region with excellent wines.  To be more specific "PESQUERA"

Check

I somehow have the feeling there are more international listeners then the TYT team thinks.

I used to listen to the live stream at work form 12H to 15H  (thats 12pm to 3pm for you anglo saxons!!) but now it will be from 21H to 23H (9pm-11pm). Now i will do the following ...download the 2 hours on podcast early in the morning and listen on my ipod on my comute to and from work.

With the Euro so strong against the USD membership cost so little only,  6.7 Euros !!....OOFFF COOOUUUUUURSE!!!!
