Punch Hippies

The IMAO-endorsed Fred Thompson who has been dubbed the Kill-Protect-Punch Candidate (VIDEO LINK made by IMAO i think) has failed to impress again.

The comments section in youtube of this video are funny..

" Ron Paul is whiny little bitch Fred should have ripped his arms off at the last debate and beat McCain to death with them."

Can't help but laugh at that. Grandpa Fred Thompson looks like a whipped puppy when he's standing anywhere near the Mac let alone ripping Paul's arms off to beat McCain to death with. Ron Paul scared of McVain...not so much.

Real Clear Politics Average South Carolina Averages:

McCain: 26.4
Huckabee: 23.4
Thompson: 10.4

 ------------------------------------------------------------

Fred Thompson is being hailed by Redstate, Limbaugh, Malkin as the savior of conservatives who can reunite the Reagan Coalition to defeat the Democrats.

I have news for them....he's scared of his own shadow. Fred Thompson has called South Carolina a "must win state." He has been criticizing every candidate in these debates and saying we need to send the terrorists to see their virgens and what not....but he's scared of big dog Johnny Mac. As much as a fantasy candidate Ron Paul is and his 3% revolution, he sure isn't scared to stand up to the Mac. Fred.. won't criticize McCain despite the enormous sum of ammunition to grill McCain with. Is there REALLY nothing to criticize John McCain with !!!! nothing?!?!!?

amnesty brothers n arms.

M-F

McCain-Lieberman?

If Thompson is Reagan reencarnate, why is he scared to attack the man with the most liberal record in the race?

Today he was attacking Huckabee again, who isn't winning S.C. at the moment anyways and for his credit is trying to run a "positive campaign." When asked why he was not attacking McCain he responded....

FredThompson: Attacking McCain is just what Huckabee wants me to do.

...really...that's what Huckabee wants you to do? Laugh now or laugh later?  S.C. is MUST win for you Fred...as you said all your cards are in there...and McCain is running away with it so why does it matter what Huckabee wants? Besides Mike Huckabee has promisied his supporters that he will turn America into the new Jerusalem, and since you don't attend church, aren't a member of a church, and have a 25 year old wife, Huckabee's supporters don' give a damn what you think anyway. Fred Thompson's ENTIRE PURPOSE IN S.C. SEEMS TO BE TO CLEAR THE PATH FOR MCCAIN. When asked about McCain, he practically worships McCain at these debates.

Maybe Fred thinks he will be V.P., but there are so many people McCain could pick...say Joseph Lieberman or Lindsey Graham who are his best buddies.

To his credit Mitt Romney is NOT afraid to take it to McCain. Romney handed McCain his ass in Michigan and then laughed about it. In Michigan, Romney's staff "supposedly" promised McCain he wouldn't cut off McCain's concession speech off....but then Romney timed his speech perfect and did it anyway with a smile (I enjoyed that.) Promise or no promise breaking, it was awesome and he indicated McCain was part of the Washington problem in the speech.

That's because Mitt Romney isn't playing, and he doesn't care if people don't like Mormons...he's coming anyways. For lack of a better word, he is BRAZEN. He's coming after you, and McCain, and Huck, and the Democrats, and anyone else who stands between him and the Whitehouse.

After the interview I poste above, Cavuto had Ed Rollins, Huckabee campaign manager on immediately after Fred talked to respond to Fred who, again, said that attacking McCain is "exatly what Huckabee wants him to do."

Huck's campaign manager's verdict: Talk to me when you beat Ron Paul somewhere.

...so please Fred...stop sucking up to McCain and go back to Holywood if you're not serious and quit wasting everyone's time.

hammockFrom the WashingtonTimes article Today.....

--In his speech to the students, Mr. Huckabee took a swipe at Mr. McCain on immigration, though he didn’t mention the senator by name.

“I don’t think electing somebody who’s part of the Washington scene makes a lot of sense, because if they could’ve fixed it, they would have,” Mr. Huckabee said. “It’s the principle that says that if you’re faithful in little [things], you’re given responsibility over greater things. But if you’re not faithful with what you have, we don’t give you greater responsibility, we take that responsibility and we give it to someone who might exercise it more responsibly."-Huckabee

Pale-Lumenariest: Save America from McVain's Ego Empire

CC

McVain is the problem..but there is a solution!...and it's not Fred Thompson. As Nixon said..

"Oh, shit! That kid (Fred Thompson)? He's dumb as hell." -- Richard Nixon,

Ron Paul!

National Review editor John Derbyshire responded this morning to a reader who urged him to support Fred Thompson:

"My reader's aspersions on Paul sound a lot like the ones I recall hearing about Ronald Reagan during the first presidential election I witnessed from American soil, in 1976. An office colleague — he was a recent refugee from Eastern Europe — was hot for Reagan. Everyone else, Democrat and Republican alike, laughed at this guy. "Not a real candidate …" etc., etc. Uh-huh...

"When a dysfunctional federal government generates systemic problems, though — and there are some doozies just over the horizon — you need systemic solutions. I believe that in current circumstances, that means a withdrawal of federal power from areas where it never had any proper business being, and a return to a strict reading of the federal Constitution. I see the same belief in Paul. I don't see it Fred."

Even though Fred's views are antithetical to my beliefs, there's no doubt in my mind that he should be the Republican's main man.  He's the only Republican candidate who stands on Republican principals without all the the baggage and may I add, he has a hot wife (even with the pudgy arms as shown in the above pic).  I won't lie, at first glimpse I thought McCain's wife was looking good for a GILF until I got a closer look.  As with John, if you go with McCain, you'll be f'ng a dead corpse for 100+ more years.......

Fred is scared of his own shadow. He's worse than Bob Dole.

Meanwhile Romney is intent on sending McCain back to the graveyard we call the U.S. senate.

Good for Fred for staying on point with the issues and not succumbing to the Huckabee Camp (above video).  If Huckash*t has a problem with McCain, let's hear it.  As for Romney, go get 'em and keep telling the people what they want to hear!

In regrads to McCain, anyone know if these new POW/selling out for medical care charges hold any water?  I'm not questioning his service to this country, but I can't say I'm not curious.  Call it a swift boating if you want, but if the charges are true, in my mind there's a big difference.  Anway, anybody that continues use the term "gook" gets no respect from me...

Shouldn't you have some kind of credentials for service to your country before you piss on someone else's record?

It's good to see you linking Wikipidia to John McCain's POW experiences.  I'm going to take the higher road on this one and not take Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain seriously and let the Republicans battle this one.  Maybe one day they'll learn that karma's a bitch for all their smear campaigns as we watch them eat their own.  By the time this primary is over, the last man standing will be freaking joke in the eyes of most Americans.

I won't even link the Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain site, however, they do have some very interesting stuff on their page even if it's bogus.  I will admit, the Manchurian Candidate idea has always fascinated me, though in a non-reality/science fiction sort of way.  Also I found the Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry link to be very "low brow."  Come on KenTX, I know you're better than that....

Am I the only one that thinks Fred Thompson looks like the creature from the Blue Lagoon.  Seriously, during the debates when they stop on his mug, that is all I see.  Stephanie Miller likes to play the clip from Forrest Gump when he stops his cross-country run, " I'm pretty tired, I think I'll go home now."  Maybe he'll do just that.

by bluefella on 01/17/2008 01:02:18 AM EST

I think that when I see him too.  Was it on the Daily Show or something?  Either way he really does look like that.  In the above pic I want to scream at his wife to "RUN!"

The man crush is over it appears...not long ago:
I mean generally mean out of the front runners. I also like Hunter, Tancredo, Paul, and Thompson.

Thompson is winning South Carolina if you haven't noticed.

That's why Thompson and Romney are superior candidates- because they broadly represent all issues the party has.

Well I don't care as to what he does(Thompson) either way as long as what he does doesn't cost republicans support with regard to other issues,

And if Fred Thompson won the race, well then they'd be completely out of luck because he'd be deporting people.

Nothing worse than unrequited love...

by MRFred on 01/17/2008 01:42:44 PM EST

I don't recall saying that, but anyway..

Thompson is acting as McCain's attackin dog offering McCain praise and trying to let McCain glide to the nomination and trying to knock down the Huck...who I happen to like.

McCain glide to the nomination and trying to knock down the Huck...who I happen to like

Really?

The conservatives are so worried about Huck, that they are abandoning Fred as the expense. Meanwhile Romney is a faker and has no chance in the long-run so he's a wasted vote.

    I invision a Romney-Huck ticket for 08'.

It's important that Romney win Iowa. Thompson is unfit for command. So is McCain, Hucksta, Giuliani.

He made a statement he said he was endorsing Romney because of how close the race had gotten Lord knows he and we don't want a Huckabee presidency.

I'm hoping Romney beats Hucksta in Iowa.

Most of the Republicans kick ass.I can't say that about Hucksta-McCain-Giuliani but the rest of them do.

Looks like the ship is going down for Hucksta

More ammunition on Huckabee supporting "consulate cards", which is some sort of federal I.D. card that illegals can pick up in the states if they just..show up.

&nb sp; If Huckabee is swiftboated, won't bother us. Maybe God told him to pardon that guy.

Oh that's right....he doesn't remember.

Not that McCain might be our strongest candidate. Senator Tom Coburn just endorsed him yesterday.

However, I would much rather see the republicans lose than see McCain be the nominee and win the general election. I don't like that guy.

"I personally wish that all of this was outlawed. I think that every candidates should speak for themselves, and that every thing that involves the candidate’s name or another candidate’s name should be authorized and approved by that candidate, otherwise it shouldn’t be spoken….

The point is that candidates can’t force these special interest 527 groups to stop. I wish we could."-Huckabee

---------------

Malkin says.....

The “this” that Huckabee wishes was outlawed is push polling, but he takes the riff much farther than that with the “every thing that involves a candidate’s name…should be approved by the candidate” line. It doesn’t take a Constitutional scholar to see that that would mean the end of the First Amendment, at least in a political context. But since we’re on the McCain-Feingold free speech slip n slide, we might as well just get a good run and dive in head first. At least that’s what Huck seems to think.

But don’t worry. By tomorrow he’ll have signed a pledge promising to protect the First Amendment as his bff. Because he’s tough. And smart. And not winging his entire frakkin campaign at all.

--------

Also on Hot Air regarding Huck's new stances

"CFR to the nth power."

I'm not sure what the CFR has to do with restricting free speech but Huckabee just hired the CFR president(?) I believe as his chief advisor...following in Bush's foot steps of selecting Dick Cheney, the president of the CFR, in order to please these people? The CFR would no doubt be pleased with being able to choose the candidates that both parties nominate.

What gives?

I kind of like these 3rd party groups...flying blimps around and what not. The last thing we need is the government running our elections so it's "fair."

----------

Once again the problem is not that there is too much money in politics...it's that there is a lack of it.
