The new TYT time slot is inconvenient—maybe. Morning drive time, or late night post-party time was better. Why not podcast the whole show on iTunes?

The first hour of TYT has been offered as podcasts on iTunes. One of the reviews says "...Many times the first hour will end right in the middle of a point that Cenk or Ben is making and will leave you hanging..."

It's not possible financially—or is it? By making the beginning or some part of the show available as a teaser to leave you hanging, then having the rest as a paid podcast, that might increase the number of listeners/viewers beyond the current members.

Could this work with a weekly subscription? Or, is it important for listeners/viewers to be at TYT site?

Video podcasts are easy. If you're already doing a webcast, it's even easier. Software links.

for a long time; that's how I got hooked.  When I realized how much I was looking forward to my daily dose via iPod I decided it was time to pay up and get the whole enchilada.  I don't know how they work it now, with the new format, but when they were on AAR the first "hour" came out to be just over 30 minutes of actual content on the free podcast teaser.  It's probably still an easy thing to release the first 30 minutes or so of the new format in the same way.

Yeah yeah, but the reason to become a member and pay for the show is to get the show. Shit can't be free... we gotta represent. If it were free the incentive would be missing yo.

That's what a teaser taste is for.  Get 'em hooked and then make 'em want more--want it enough to pay.  Like I said, the first hour of the show's already been free through iTunes for quite some time, now; that's how I found out about it in the first place.
