I wanted to post this under thread started by FightTheFascism who did a great job with the links to the various story. He and others in the thread noted little has been said in the media regarding this scandal. By the way does anyone know if Grossmann testified? So here we are some 3 weeks after the Edmonds story broke in the UK and still little or nothing. So heres a new thread to keep it going. And in the spirit of FTF’s thread: Cenk when are you going to have Sibel or Larisa Alexandrova  on to discuss this scandal.

Speaking of  Larisa Alexandrova props to her for following this story too. She is another great example of a species about to go extinct namely the investigative reporter in the US media. She was the first to out Grossmans name in print when the London Times wouldn’t do it. Attached is a link via Larisa’s site to an article by Phil Giraldi an ex CIA type who gives his slant on the Edmonds allegations in the American Conservative.

Then out of the clear blue comes an article from Joshua Franks published at antiwar.com stating the Bush-Cheney junta wants to legalize Nuke trade with Turkey claiming they are completing a deal started by the Clinton administration:

The White House claims that President Clinton signed off on the Turkey deal way back in 2000:
"However, immediately after signature, U.S. agencies received information that called into question the conclusions that had been drawn in the required NPAS (Nuclear Proliferation Assessment Statement) and the original classified annex, specifically, information implicating Turkish private entities in certain activities directly relating to nuclear proliferation. Consequently, the Agreement was not submitted to the Congress and the executive branch undertook a review of the NPAS evaluation … My Administration has completed the NPAS review as well as an evaluation of actions taken by the Turkish government to address the proliferation activities of certain Turkish entities (once officials of the U.S. Government brought them to the Turkish government's attention)."

Excuse my naiveté but can this actually be true? What timing. Just as Edmonds is coming out with the story.

There is little that can be done about any of this in reality. As an example look at the current AIPAC scandal that is in the courts right now. AIPAC interestingly enough has been implicated by Edmonds for their envolvement in the nuclear black market witht the ATC.   Larry Franklin ex Bush crime family DOD analyst working for the traitor Douglas Feith, is doing 12 years for passing classified info to Israel some if which apparently included nuclear secrets regarding Iran. The spies for AIPAC who received the info from Franklin (who turned stoolie for a break on the sentence) Steve Rosen and Keith Weissmann (billed as Rosen’s Iranian expert) are now on trial for espionage against the US for passing the info on to Israel. The defense now totaling millions wants to supena other crime family members including Rice Wolfowitz etc. Good luck ever getting them up there, then there’s the national security card and then dismissal and once again the US takes it up the wazoo. In the instance of the Edmonds allegations the mobsters just legalize the crime.

You might recall how everyone wondered why Sandy Berger got off so easy stuffing classified documents down his pants, storing them under a truck across from the archives and only getting his a fine, community service and his clearance revoked for three years. That was the sentence imposed by the Bush administration DOJ. Then he turns up along fingered by Edmonds along the way. He and Grossmann have been connected since their days together in the Clintion State Dept. You really have to wonder.

You would have to be totally brainless to think Clinton would want to turn this around or living in a fairly tale to believe that Obama or Edwards can do anything about it even if they wanted to.  So where does it leave us?

This treasonous scandal has its tenticles everwhere. Knowing that this going on we have to ask ourselves yet again where do our leaders get the unmitigated gall to ask the citizens to fight and die for the country? How stupid they think we are.
