A Look At The Biggest Winners And Losers Under The Bush Administration

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
Remember last week when Christy Harvey mentioned a new product was launching today?

The list is awesome!

It concisely pres ents 99 problems created by the Bush Administration (some might argue that *some* of the problems are only problems depending your political ideology, but clearly most are problems for everyone).

It's a great resource because not only is it broken down into easily digestible (short) nuggets, but everything is sourced.

Ken's heart probably can't take the beating so I doubt he makes it past #10.

that you're 100% correct on the 18 problems you carefully selected.

You've only got 81 to go!

(Tip: 18 isn't even close to half. Hell, it's not even 1/3, 1/4 or even 1/5)

and you're invited to join in.

It took me about 10 minutes to link the 18 examples of Democrat complicity in America's problems. There are hundreds of similar examples.

All you need to do it take one of the following links, and plug it into one of the outlined problems. While you're playing, sing this song.

Bush is getting blamed just like any other president would. A good majority of this country (and a reasonable amount of voters in presidential elections) do not even know who there congressman or 2 Senators are. Stop lying to yourself.

Won't change anything. As far as America is conserned, Bush sucks donkey balls. That is the reason the Reublicans only hope are RINO's.

Obviously, it's not just "Bush" the man, it's the *Bush Administration*.

That and the Republican controlled House and Senate he enjoyed for much of his presidency.  In that context, it's more than appropriate to blame most of these problems on them, don't you think?

It's not like he was fighting a Dem controlled congress and or was a one term president.  Are there certain factors out of his control that have negatively (or positively) effected him?  Of course, that's true of any administration.

But we aren't talking about a small handful of problems, we're talking about widespread, systemic issues of various severity that have been going on for years.

I just realized that Democrats control both houses of Congress! I wasn't sure, but I looked it up, and it's true!

That means they share seperate and co-equal responsibility for solving problems.

America is awaiting leadership from Democrats.

They know they are not going to get it from Republicans.

BTW, it's 48, 48 and 2 in the Senate. Lieberman is a war hawk and Sanders is a socialist.

Next time you look it up, read what it has to say.

No matter, the swing voters who do not pay all that much attention to politics are blaming Bush for everything. That is the way it always works.

49, 49 and 2. I should have read it first myself.

remind us, exactly how long have the Dems had a non-majority majority of Congress relative to how long they were clearly in the minority?

Thanks

So you're saying it's a bad thing that the Republicans got everything they wanted, and that the world would be a better place if they had gotten nothing that they wanted!

I am so sorry to have misunderstood you so!

But I'm confused: why did you vote for them?

Here is another devastating indictment of Republican policies:

Waving Goodbye to Hegemony
http://www.nytimes.com/2008 /01/27/magazine/27world-t.h tml?ref=magazine

The New York Times looks ahead to a near future where a crippled United States is the weakest competitor among three superpowers, which include the European Union and China.

The Bush administration's policies of antagonizing the whole rest of the world and of wasting our national assets in a bald-faced power grab to facilitate a profit-taking sell-off the likes of which Wall Street has never seen has weakened America to the point that we're forced to compete rather than lead.  And no one wants what we're selling.

And all it took was one incompetent, greedy administration.  However, the article doesn't let Bill Clinton off the hook: we had a chance to spread liberalism throughout the world, but ignored it.  Now it's the E.U.'s turn, and they're making the most of it.  And in many ways, even China has a friendlier foreign policy than we do.

But maybe that kind of U.S.--E.U.--China balance will be a good thing for the world, even if the U.S. does have to withstand declining living standards and sacrifice its leadership role in every area.

I'm convinced that a major reinvestment in education and a willingness to cooperate more in international endeavors is necessary for us to recover.  Maybe after we've listened and learned for a while, other countries will co nsider listening to us again.
