Obama Agrees To Go On O'Reilly (Video Clip & Poll)

(Sigh) Come on Obama, WHY are you doing this?

So much for Obama and Edwards standing up to Fox News....well, so much for Obama who agreed (as shown here) to go on Bill O'Reilly's show.

Some of you might be wondering why it's a big deal if either one of them decides to go on Fox.

THIS is why.

And obviously Cenk spoke more generally about this over the summer.

Has anyone seen how in the movie OutFoxed, the reporters are scared to death of being punished all the time?

Here's what happened last night. Fox News has essentially become the war network.

 --------------------- -----------------

Shep Asks: "Should Fox News Reconsider?"

Shepard Smith, talking with Greta Van Susteren and Susan Estrich went there during the late-night coverage of the Iowa caucuses.

Smith was talking about Rep. Ron Paul's 10% support from caucus-goers. "More than double" what Rudy Giuliani got, Smith said. Then he asked the question: "Should Fox News reconsider" and allow Paul in the GOP forum set for Sunday night?

As it stands: Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson, Sen. John McCain, Mitt Romney and Giuliani are the only ones invited.

Van Susteren said, "at the risk of getting in trouble..." To which Smith added, "We don't get in trouble for talking about things at Fox." Greta: "I was just joking with you."

Shep then explained the process of the forum and why it was kept to just five candidates. The venue "doesn't hold a lot of people..they want to put five people around the table" plus moderator Chris Wallace. Greta then had a suggestion: "If we don't have enough room for all of them, maybe we ought to do two debates.""

What "facts" did I get wrong?  I wasn't aware of the altercation (the one Obama apparently didn't see) at the time I posted this, so I didn't mention it.

And when I wrote that Obama accepted a verbal invitation to come on O'Reilly's show, I was 100% right.

Unless you want to argue that the video clip I linked to is fake.
