I just saw this video of Bill Maher on the Conan O'Brien show and I have to say that I loved it. 

He reminded me a little of what Cenk would sound like if he were on (and wasn't worried about not being able to come back).

I don't always agree with Bill, but I can't think of a single thing he said here that I *don't* agree with.  Man, does that guy have balls or what?

He would've been a little more effective if he didn't seem so tired (or is that my imagination...was he high?).  And it didn't help that there was a dopey, politically uninformed/apathetic audience who didn't understand what was going on. 

It's also funny how Conan had to go out of his way to not laugh at certain points (as opposed to making sure he laughs for certain guests as any late night talk show host would) and that at the he manages to stress that the opinions expressed were Mahr's opinions only.

Thanks. It'll be interesting to see what the show is like without writers. 'Course, I always thought his monologue was the weakest part of the show. Even back to the Politically Incorrect days. He's much better ranting than reading...

Maher kind of reminds me of Hitchins, (none / 0)
except Maher's comedy is intentional.  I don't see eye-to-eye with a lot of Maher's stuff, either, but in that interview he was like unto a god himself.  Rock on!
