America's best known Hockey Mom gets boo'd at a Philadelphia hockey game.  Look at the crowd in the background.  A few people are clapping, but more people are giving Palin thumbs down.

I would have charged, body-checked, and speared her.  Then I would have had Jayar run her over with the Zamboni.

Get the puck back to Alaska, bitch. And take your little mini-sluts with you.

I feel so bad for her kids.  I'd be so embarrassed and confused if I had to walk out on the ice and everyone was booing my mom, and I was only however old they are.  The whole situation stinks.  I wish she didn't use her kids as political props.

The whole teen pregnancy and marriage thing is really disturbing to me.  It's a horrible thing for young women to see put forth as a "good" thing.  It's destructive of society to have teen girls getting pregnant while or instead of going to college, and expensive for the taxpayers who usually end up supporting them.  Robs girls of their youth.  It's bad all around and it doesn't belong on a pedestal or in the white house.   Even Baby Jesus would frown upon it.

Sorry Sarah, it is not all roses and moose hides in the real world.  Once you get outside of your hate rallies.

By the way, when is that supposed wedding? Waiting until the baby is born? I'll bet  that her daughter and boyfriend never do get married. He doesn't sound like marriage material so far at this age. It is all BS due to her nomination. What was she going to say otherwise. Will the kid even pay child support? Or will Bristol go on welfare.....

Isn't it interesting that Bristol doesn't look 5 months pregnant, but when her mother was 5 months pregnant with Trig, Bristol DEFINITELY looked pregnant.

In fact, Bristol seems to have lost some weight since the convention.  (I saw her last week at a fundraiser in Boca Raton.  Bristol and Trig were inseperable.  I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying.)

Can't have the wedding yet.  The baby's gonna be the best man.  Then the bride is gonna throw the baby over her shoulder, hopefully into the hands of some lucky, single girl.

What kind of person exposes their children to something like this?  Of course the handlers knew this would happen.  Yet she made the choice to bring her daughters with her into an unfriendly crowd, after a week of accusing Obama of palling around with terrorists! Of course she was booed.

Everyday, my opinion of this woman is lower.

Palin knew what she was doing that is why she brought those kids.

Palin Drops Puck at Flyer's Game Receives Mixed Reaction

A carpet was laid down and Palin, dressed in a beige trench, walked on to the ice joined by her daughters Willow and Piper. The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, "How dare they boo Piper!"

This woman has no shame

Philadelphia fans boo everybody. It's our perverse way of acknowledging your existence.

That said, I do agree it was a loathsome thing to parade her daughter out there in an effort to prevent booing. If you expect you're going to be booed, why be such a dumb cluck to go out there anyway, just to drop a hockey puck on the ice?

Philadelphia fans may be the most sarcastic people on the face of the earth, even when we like you, but outsiders don't know we are very loyal despite our booing. I haven't lived there for decades but I'm still a fan. We can forgive a lot of stupid trades, foul ups, lost pennants, etc., but we don't forgive exploiting children. If I were Sarah Palin, I wouldn't return. The booing will only be worse next time.

I live right outside of Philadelphia and this controversy has been brewing for awhile, since Ed Snyder, Republican owner of the Flyers, invited Palin to drop the puck several weeks ago.

Some of the people I've heard from just felt it was inappropriate for Snyder to interject his politics into the game; imagine what would happen if he plastered McCain/Palin posters all over the stadium. Sports is something people use to get away from the daily grind and find a little respite and here politics is slapped in their face again. I hear that the two players featured in the photograph were unhappy about being forced into this political theater piece too.

The clueless hockey mom gets a taste of some real crowd reaction instead of the staged GOP friendly rallies she's used to.. Thanks Philly. Well Done...

But Cassandra Pye, a Republican and former deputy chief of staff to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as a former political director for the California Chamber of Commerce, said the McCain campaign may need to rethink its strategy of "guilt by association" attacks.

"I'm not sure these sorts of tactics ultimately achieve any widespread impact. Independent voters, in particular, have shown repeatedly their distaste for the negative stuff," Pye said.

"While the attack clearly plays well with the Republican base ... I have to believe most voters find it a little far-fetched and maybe even desperate tactic," she said.

"Voters who are worried about their jobs and their wallets and portfolios are going to care little about a relationship that is a distant one at best."
