LOOK OUT EVERYONE! THE MARKET DOES NOT LIKE OBAMA!

You gotta be kidding on how low FOX news has to go at this point. Now they are blaming Obama for the economy still plunging? How much more lower can you get.

The sad thing is there are people out there that actually eats this garbage up. Its just unbelievable.

And didn't Obama say he wants to cut capital gains taxes for small business owners who build up capital and want to sell their businesses?  While I think this is a bad idea and will encourage conglomeration, it contradicts not only the specific statement that the commentator made but also the whole premise of his claim.

Of course, the right wing is now saying that Obama's plan means nothing, even though cutting capital gains taxes has been the Holy Grail of Republican policy.  Sheesh!  Somedays I simply can't stand their hipocrisy.  (That link is just one example.  There are thousands like it.)

But not for the reason that Fox gives.

Think about it.

This is not a sound economy suddenly going south. It was an economy built on bad loans, credit default swaps, deregulation, and lies. Now Obama, "the sheriff", is coming. What "bad guy" wouldn't want to take his profits and run now?

However, does this explain why Asia and European markets are also tanking?

If McCain were to win, the market would take a nosedive.  When Obama wins, the market will rally.

The media is not, in any way, liberal - it is corporatist.  The media will do what they can to 1) improve their viewership - it's a business, and 2) promote the best interest (which means profit) of the corporation that owns them.

I have noticed that the media, which usually has the mindset to go after the frontrunner to keep the race close to tied, has allowed Obama to stay significantly ahead in the polls for weeks.  That is not an indication that the media is liberal, it is an indication that the media considers Obama good for business.

It has become painfully obvious that Capitalism is on the brink of collapse because of the failed Neocon economic theories.  Even the corporations have come to the conclusion that McCain must not win this election.

Which leads me to the conclusion that once it is certain that Obama will be our next President, the markets will rally.
