Sarah's initial interview with FOX: "In MY world..."

"...comments that he's (Obama) made about the war that I think..uh, made..uh..in my world disqualifies someone from consideration as the next commander in chief..."

So, what world DOES Sarah claim as her own? One in which Freedom of Speech and telling the truth don't exist? Watch as she blames Katie for not asking the right questions!

I think I'm done.

In my view which is a pretty non-partisan angle, I faught in Iraq and lost friends there. I was a somewhat liberal republican before going into the miliary and now Im just for the truth but more so a democrat,
Palin's gee-goolly act was dispicable and all the it did was remind me of Bush. And the people voted for him because he was so much like them. its fuckin retarded....we can't vote like that...these people make huge decisions...these decisions costs men and women their lives...ruin families and our economy. We have to vote for biden and obama...they are the only choice to make...Palin lies and she just loves the ideal of the position of vp...she doesnt deserve the job nor does she have what it takes...its craZy. I love this country more than anything on earth...i've saw tragedy in so many other places...but if the american public continues to fall for these tricks and bs...and vote mccain country first.....i will move elsewhere. People say Mccain knows foreign policy so well...i dont think he does at all   he has no clue about iraq or afghanistan ..no clue. He thinks progress is being made..its not...he thinks our commander can run around in a unarmored humvee  .,..that is soooooo nuts. gen. p  has more security than any element in the whole country. mccain is out of touch with life and with the war. they have to be defeated and palin has no idea on anything...let alone a clear winning strategy in Iraq..,.. shes a nut job. they are the worst ticket I have ever seen and at a time that is so crucial to our country... the military is in shambles...the country has lost face in the international worlld...and our economy is in dire straights..We cant vote these mavericks into office..they are horrible!!!

People watch the Biden-Palin debate like it is some sort of football game.

When they talk about how "the stakes couldn't be higher" people see that as a political power play.

But the truth is that our choices in the voting booth can cost the lives of thousands, and maybe hundreds of thousands of people.

It is collective insanity to put someone as ignorant as Palin in a position where she can unwittingly do so much harm.

Funny I remember thinking that she really seemed to be in another world (atleast not partaking in a debate), when she made that comment.

As to the clip. Can anyone help me here?

She goes "....an opportunity to ask what a VP candidate stands for, what the values are represented in our ticket". Me being a stupid foreigner thinks "ahh... Ill get a better handle on her views." But then the very next sentense is: "I wanted to talk about Barack Obama raising taxes"....obama will do this and that....etc ad nauseam. This is all I ever hear. So my quick roundup of what I've learned is: Palin has some values. Strange that I have to visit progressive sites to find out what they are.

Why the hell won't the media just give me free air time to say whatever the hell we want to say?  Why do they insist on trying to ask me questions?  They are evil.

We must not let this crazy woman anywhere near our White House!!

by desertpear on 10/04/2008 12:10:42 AM EST

Gosh darn it..when she tried so hard to portray herself as "one of us" wink  you betcha. It was a load of total bull shit. We saw the real Palin by her cold reaction to Joe Bidens story about his wife dying and having to raise his kids on his own.

I dont want a hockey mom, pie eater, joe six pack,  just like me in the VP spot. I want someone that I can trust to lead us out of this fuggin mess if they are called upon. The economy .. two wars.. Pakistan a country with nukes becoming unstable.. Iran.. Russia getting feisty.

And Palin is standing there reading prepared gotcha attacks on Obama and winking at people while telling people hockey moms should unite.

Give me a fucking break!

I didn't learn a damn thing about her or how she would react to situations she may come up against because again all she did was read/ recite prepared attacks on Obama that where written down and on the podium right in front of her. It was not a debate it was a series of sound bites that she had tried to memorize.

It scares the hell out of me that the main stream media say things like she did really well. Well compared to what???? A freshman in college could on the jr debate team could do better if they prepared day in and day out for 3 weeks straight.

And even after all the prep and having it written down right in front of her she got facts wrong. She didnt just get the name of the General in Afghanistan wrong. She got what he said wrong. There where so many fuck ups.

Her opening said it all. Im not going to answer what the moderator asks because I will probably fuck it up and I have to stick only to what I was prepped for as  I have absolutely no working knowledge of the subject at hand.smile wink

She is an embarrassment to this country
McCain knows this is his last shot. He is gagging for it and is obviously willing to do anything to get it. He puts it above all else including his country.  Him picking Palin proves that he is not worthy nor has the judgment to be the president.

I would add this to the failure of the illusion Palin tried to weave:

First, she talked REALLY fast, indicative of someone who had memorized something and completely counter indicative of someone who sincerely meant what they said.

Second, as even my 14 year old students almost unanimously pointed out, she repeated entire segments of text verbatim as answers to completely different questions.  One chunk got drug out to answer three consecutive, different questions.

Way back in 1911, a woman told America a story.  And then was asked to tell it again.  And again.  When it was noted that the story was word for word identical each time, people back then were smart enough to realize we were being hoodwinked.   The woman was Kate Alerman, survivor of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.  She was trying to convince a jury that the factory did have adequate exits after 146 women either leapt from the roof to their death or were consumed by the fire.

But did you save the cloth!

I don't know if Kate was hot or if she winked or where she stood on shooting animals, but I do know corporate America's pathetic and transparent attempt to hide behind her skirts with some prefab, Chatty Kathy speech led to a public outrage that we were all being lied to.

In 2008, Republicans actually (and I wish I was exaggerating) masturbate to this manipulation.

Luckily, regular folk still recognize it when they see it.

In that it dramatically and instantly altered American attitudes towards corporate treatment of workers.  It is up there with the photo of the guy getting electrocuted and the Vietnamese guy getting shot in the head while a POW.

Its interesting you never see this one.  Let's see.  Gruesome photo makes plain corporate evil.  Shocks America.  More or less disappears.

Not saying, just saying.

But to me Palin isn't "Hot for Teacher" as much as she is the girl from the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire.

was horrible.  It's sad, because now I wish I knew more history.  So little time, so many fascinating subjects.  But in high school, you need a teacher who makes the subject interesting and I did not have those teachers.  It probably resulted in my disinterest in college history too, sadly.

I encourage my kids to think of history as the biggest, most important story ever.

Like a movie or a TV show.  It seems to help.

"not enough time for her to adequately get her ideas across"

Well shit, Mrs. P!  Maybe the English language doesn't have enough words for you to adequately get your ideas across.

Crybaby.  Go shoot a rape victim from a helicopter.

Go shoot a rape victim from a helicopter.  Priceless!

It does make me wonder, if this rape thing was about Hillary how long would it be until Rush said,

"What needs to happen, what we need here is for Hillary to get raped.  Yeah, then ask her about this policy of hers.  Of course, we would have a hard time finding someone to rape her."

Chortle, chortle, chortle.
