Obama Went There in a big way

I was waiting for this .. Obama went there

Keating economics anyone?

This is far more devastating during an economic melt down than anything McCain can come up with

"The Obama campaign, in an effort to combat increasingly negative attacks by the McCain camp, is launching an aggressive, multi-pronged effort to highlight McCain's involvement in the "Keating 5" savings-and-loan scandal"

Great strategy, and one I was hoping he would use.  As soon as McCain is about to get bottom-of-the-barrel desperate and start running slimeball ads, hit him with the SUBSTANTIVE scandal story.  I can't see a way McCain recovers from this.  Even if the Keating video comes off as too much of a scare-tactic, or too harsh, I think people will be listening anyway, and not let McCain cry about it.

"That scandal was in the ancient past."  Oh yeah?  Well so was your POW experience.

It was Adlai Stevenson who said, "If the Republicans will quit lying about, I will stop telling the truth about them."

Lying appears to work a lot of the time.

I really hate Republicans.  But I just can't bring myself to lie like they do.

Obama has taken the kid gloves off in response to Molly Moosehunter's "palling around with terrorists" bullshit.

You like negative?  We'll show you negative.

It's about time someone is talking about it.. I think it's a good strategy, lets end the McCain campaing.

I mean, wanting simply to beat McCain is one thing.  But wanting to utterly crush him into oblivion -- and with facts, no less...

McCain == burnt toast

I wonder if the Obama campaign has a website prepared that talks about Holy Rollers, Witch Hunters, Secessionists, Anti-semetic Preachers and White Supremacists in case Sarah Palin continues to want to talk about Rev. Wright.

At this point, the Obama campaign is counting news-cycles until the election.  They know that Troopergate will consume some news cycles toward the end of this week, and maybe next week.  The debates will take up a few news cycles.  I am sure the Obama campaign has plans for how to dominate each news cycle between now and Nov. 4.

Play out the clock with time consuming offensive plays.  Keep the ball on the ground and you might even score some more points.

Honestly, my advice to the RNC would be to cut their losses, pull funding out of the Presidential campaign and try to keep the Democrats from getting 60 votes in the Senate.

But I hope they choose to spend all their money on Presidential campaign attack ads.  Having Al Franken in the Senate should be fun!

Al Franken has pulled ahead. I agree it will be fun.
