AMERICA SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!

Officer Mike Scott

The McCain Campaign is beginning to reach new lows. His wrecklessness and "have to win at any cost now" strategy is starting to involve "trusted officials" in our government institutions.

On Oct 6, 2008 the American people were treated with a very scary and dangerous image of a public official standing on a stage and basically saying that discrimination and hatred is okay in a country that is trying to regain its soul and start healing itself from the failures of the last several years. John McCain and his campaign recently spoke of its new campaign strategy of casting doubt on Barack Obama’s character by trying to show associations between him and individuals such as William Ayers a member of the Weather Underground of the 60’s and 70’s, deemed a domestic terrorist organization. The goal is to paint Barack Obama as a terrorist sympathizer.

Mr. McCain’s abandonment of “Country First” to “Me First”, “Win at any cost” may have committed a very grievous error in persuading a public servant who is committed to “protect and serve” all segments of the community he was elected to SERVE. This public official is Mike Scott the Sheriff of Lee County, Florida. Officer Scott in his introduction of Gov Palin today decided to emphasize Barack Hussein Obama in a political rally that was designed to tacitly emphasize terrorist attributes and attempt to associate those attributes to Barack Obama.

It is a crime and a shame that John McCain coerced this public official to behave in this manner and even worst, Officer Scott should never have agreed to violate his oath of protecting and serving ALL CITIZENS. No public official especially those in law enforcement should EVER engage in behavior that could be perceived as prejudicial, segregationist, racist, and outright hateful. This one dangerous incident could rekindle thoughts and visions in many of law enforcement officials who were enablers of many hateful and violent crimes that were perpetrated against citizens of this country in times not so long ago.

Remember Officer Scott, June 21, 1964, Philadelphia, Mississippi, the lynchings of James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. These 3 civil rights activists could not have been successfully KILLED without the SANCTUARY provided by law enforcement officials who were sworn to PROTECT and SERVE ALL CITIZENS!

Remember Officer Scott, Sunday, Sept 15, 1963, The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church was BOMBED and four young girls were KILLED; Denise McNair (11), Addie Mae Collins (14), Carole Robertson (14) and Cynthia Wesley (14). The four girls had been attending Sunday school classes at the church Officer Scott. It took over 14 years to bring justice to this case Officer Scott because of the SANCTUARY provided by government officials!

You want to talk about DOMESTIC TERRORISTISM John McCain? That is a discussion I would love to have with you! I have on record approximately 4,736 LYNCHINGS of AMERICAN CITIZENS! 282 occurred in the state of Florida where you coerced a senior law enforcement official in Lee County to participant in your 3-RING CIRCUS.

You see Officer Scott, John McCain’s selfishness in winning this election drives him to do ANYTHING even compromise the integrity and diminish the confidence of citizens in you and your public office. What is sad Officer Scott is that you don’t realize how dangerous the level of your participation in that event was. Witness the statement you made when questioned as to whether you should apologize. You said, “I absolutely, unequivocally don’t regret saying it, in order to be a speaker at this event, I had to give my full name — Michael Joseph Scott — to the Secret Service, even though I’m the sheriff of Lee County. So why would I apologize? Is there some kind of double standard here where I have to give my full name, but I can’t use his?”

Officer Scott, as a protector of citizens of this country you should be constantly aware of RISKS to all citizens. Your responsibility is always being diligent of RISKS and having effective mechanisms in place to mitigate or abate those risks. No matter how strong the temptation Officer Scott you must be above the fray and not be seen as a RISK yourself.

Need I remind you that both you and John McCain are public servants? We do not approve of our public campaign funds paying for such reckless and dangerous behavior!

Mr. McCain, the reason you’re losing is because you are tactical, dangerous, erratic, and out of touch. Your campaign has never been strategic nor shown indications that it ever could. You have never given us a reason to see you as a capable leader. Just like your short-sighted view of the Iraq War in thinking it started with “Surge”, once again you’re short-sightedness has lead you to believe that DOMESTIC TERRORISM started in 70’s with William Ayers without any regard for the fact that there are some in this country who still have vivid memories of what DOMESTIC TERRORISM really is.

28 days is far too long for you and your campaign to go away, too long for us to get our country back and too long for us to get our America back. We have far too many problems in this country needing an immediate solution and you don’t seem to have the ability to articulate any plans, cost, or practical implementations of solving them, so you’ve embarked upon this extremely dangerous behavior and now you are involving law enforcement officials!

Two things should occur immediately:

  1. Governance should be put in place on public campaign funds to ensure that John McCain’s eligibility be revoked immediately if he ever convinces another public official to engage in the type of behavior that he coerced Officer Scott to engage in.
  2. Officer Scott should not apologize for participating in that event nor should he apologize for what he said. Instead, he should immediately resign his position because there are many in the public who now see him as someone who cannot prosecute his duties in a fair and equitable manner. Any lost of public trust, no matter how small, is disqualifying for a law enforcement official.

This is another big slip-up by the already slippery McCain team.  The continuum, by any measure, spells desperation:

1)  McCain picks a VP without first checking to see if she's human

2)  Said VP is found to be human, but alas! addicted to lead paint sandwiches

3)  McCain proclaims himself savior of the economy, then fails to save the economy, and inexplicably blames the resulting chaos on himself

4)  Palin picks the wrong Michael Scott to appear on her behalf

You new to Florida?

The Florida State Government, several of the County Governments, and the Florida State Troopers will do everything they possibly can to make sure the Republican nominee is elected President.

Does the name Catherine Harris ring a bell?  How about Jeb Bush?  Crist?

I was at a private party last night at the Boca Resort with Crist, Lieberman, Palin, Martinez and all the state bigwigs.  (Yes, I paid the $500 pp cover charge.)  There must have been at least a thousand people there.  The main topic of conversation was what can be done to "deliver" the state for McCain.  Whenever I approached a group of partiers, they would get quiet.  I guess the word got out that I am the Compuer Security Consultant who has been "making trouble" for the Election Commission.

Welcome to MY world.

"I guess the word got out that I am the Compuer Security Consultant who has been "making trouble" for the Election Commission."

It's great to hear that we have computer security experts working on the side of democracy.  Thanks for your dedication ($500 isn't chump-change).

It's amazing to hear about the open topics of discussion in these Republican cabals.  Actually it's frightening.  That's the word I was searching for.  "Country first" my ass.

They spent a lot of money for Diebold voting machines for the 2004 election.  We knew going into the election that the Diebold machines were hacker havens, but post mortem of those machines after the election revealed that it is possible that hacked machines changed the result of the election in Florida from Kerry to Bush.  With proof of that possibility in hand, we were able to get them to scrap all the Diebold machines and put in old fashioned Optical Mark Readers.  Needless to say, the powers-to-be were not happy about this at all!  They are still pissed off about it.

I never would have found out about the Palin party, except I registerred as a Republican for the primaries, since we were told that the Democratic primary would not count.  I voted in the Republican primary to vote AGAINST Giuliani.

I’m not in Florida. I became familiar with Officer Scott while watching the news last night. I was immediately sickened to see a law enforcement official participate in this activity while in uniform.

I’m willing to give Officer Scott the benefit of the doubt in this matter. I’m sure he wanted his moment in the sun and John McCain preyed on him! This happens when we entrust our public offices to those who are not truly qualified. As someone who has to protect all STAKEHOLDERS in his constituency, no matter how big or small, race, creed, or color, Officer Scott must UNDERSTAND and be SENSITIVE to the INTERESTS and CONCERNS of all those STAKEHOLDERS.

What we do know now about Officer Scott is that he has exhibited the same lack of judgment that is SYSTEMIC throughout the 3-Ring Circus that is the McCain campaign. Today there are a number of citizens who will not trust him to protect their interest because of the demeanor he displayed at the campaign rally yesterday, so he should resign because he is crippled.

Sheriff is an elected position here.  It is customary for elected officials in Florida to push the limits of the Hatch act, and to go beyond the limits when they can get away with it.

If you don't remember, Katherine Harris was the Florida Secretary of State who was also the Co-Chairman of the Bush Campaign here in Florida.  As Secretary of State, she was fully in charge of carrying out the Presidential election and certifying the results.  That is the way politics are run in Florida.

Seeing an elected official campaign for a candidate doesn't seem like a big deal here.  Even if that official wears a uniform.

A federal investigation is being opened into the actions and comments of Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott at a rally for Gov. Sarah Palin in Estero on Monday.

Erica S. Hamrick, senior attorney at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, wrote in to complainant Carl Spackler that due to his complaint, her office will be investigating under the Hatch Act, which governs political activities of certain elected officials.

The complainant stated the sheriff violated that act because the sheriff’s office receives federal money, engaged in political activity while on duty, engaged in political activity while in uniform, wore political buttons while on duty and used political influence or authority to interfere with an election.

Thanks for the research and information. Seems like someone out there understands the role of governnace when it comes to our public officials.

Lets see what the follow-through is going to be....
