Kos and too many others agree with me: Reid's gotta go.

I've been clamoring for the Senate Dems to get a better leader. I've been saying it should be Hillary Clinton, but she may be Secretary of State instead. It needs to be someone, though.

Because by the way latest poll numbers in the Silver State are looking, we may not have a choice after 2010. A 38% approval rating doesn't make it if you're not a Bush.

We're still poised to gain even more seats in two years, but we may be giving one back. It's different now than when we were the minority party and Tom Daschle lost his seat in South Dakota, but I'm not thrilled with losing a party leader in that way.

And I hope the Nevada Dems can find a better candidate, because Jon Porter is not the kind of Republican we need: pro-Iraq war, pro-Big Oil, pro-privatization of Social Security, pro-PATRIOT Act, pro-keeping the minimum wage low, and pro-accepting big contributions from Las Vegas casinos while preaching "family values".

How long can someone stay in that position, i dont fuckin know long. but he looks like a scared little bitch, that last press conference about Lieberman was icing on the cake for me. This is how we're gonna start this new administration, after all the fucking praying i was doin that Obama would get in there. What the fuck are they doing. Nothin big has came back to bite Obama but jesus christ already with the fundamental weakness of the dems. Grow some, the right have a set on them but are all nuts and liars. By the way, Fuck you kentx lick my ballsweat too.

Part of the reason he was elected to that position was to be conciliatory, back in 2004, after Daschle was voted out. Well, its time to stop being conciliatory, the dems are in the majority, and Reid needs to go. Those poll results are pretty crazy, Ludwig. Reid is not a fighter, and he's not going to be able to move legislation, which is what we desperately need. Cenk is right, Reid is weak-sauce.

If Reid was chosen to placate the Repubs, then that what does that make us look like? Appeasers. And the way the media would spin it: if the Democrats are quick to appease the Republicans, then they just might pull a Chamberlain on say, terrorists. And we're being reminded of the real terror threat in India right now (as opposed to fake threats we all know about).

It's not helping Obama either. He hasn't even been sworn in and he's already in the hot seat, but that's another topic. How many times do we have to say this - being bipartisan is good, but the Dems need to act like they're in the majority. American voters don't like weakness.

That Reid is a pussy and has to go - I aak you - who would you put up to replace him? Hillary is seemingly going to State, Teddy Kennedy is on his last tab (figuratively speaking), and John Kerry is forever branded a loser due to the 2004 election - so who would you want to replace Reid? Boxer or Feinstein? Durbin? Schumer? Byrd? Levin? Yeah - Republicans are salivating at a shot at those nominees! :)

look, I can't stand Reid.

That's no longer important.

Barack Obama is the head of the Democratic party, and it no longer matters that Reid is a spineless dinosaur. He just got demoted to butler-in-chief, which suits him perfectly.
