"The Warning"

From the Raw Story article on the new documentary, The Warning The links below take you to Amazon, but if you want to buy a book, check the TYT Library first...

TheWarning'The Warning,' is nothing if not an urgent plea for a return to Constitutional values in an age of rampant abuse.

Comprised of interviews with authors Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. ("
Crimes Against Nature"), Naomi Wolf ("The End of America"), Naomi Klein ("The Shock Doctrine"), Chris Hedges ("American Fascists") and Joe Conason ("It Can Happen Here"), 'The Warning' plumbs deep the frightening, totalitarian advances seen in US governance since the appointment of George W. Bush, and the threats these new executive powers pose in the coming years.

Is this because the Turks get a commission if you buy on amazon via a TYT link?

If so, won't it work to just link "The Shock Doctrine" (eg), like this, rather than how you did it?

If I sound like an ass, I'm not trying to be overly critical or make a big deal out of a small issue - the questions are not rhetorical.

there's value in TYT becoming a place through which books are purchased.

The more it happens, the easier it'll be in the future to snag top notch authors looking to sell their books, etc.

I cut and pasted the whole paragraph from Raw Story, links included.

Yeah, I COULD have done it the other way. Too much work, I guess.

I was basically just wondering about how TYT benefits from people linking to amazon from the TYT library.

I better not watch it after dark.

Obama is a constitutional law professor. He knows as well as anybody how much power the Bushies consolidated in the Executive Branch. It will be fun to watch how much power he now relinquishes back to the Legislative. My guess is...not much.

question is, do you see that as a good thing or a bad thing? The only remedy is for congress to reassert itself. Also not going to happen. Pelosi and Reid have already signaled that they want to receive their instructions from the white house. Oh well, I guess a benevolent dictatorship isn't too bad. It works in Jordan, so why not here?

Unfortunately, I think you're probably right here. Nobody ever gives up power.

Are you confident he will give back any?

Don't talk about religion or politics, my ass!
