My birthday is the day after Valentine's, so we usually combine them.  What did I get this year?

A brand new video iPod.  Dude, you have to realize my old iPod's battery is so dead I have to keep it plugged into a wall wart (or my car's outlet) to listen to it.  I listen to podcasts all day at work, and haven't wanted to deal with the hassle of sending my old, tired iPod in for a new battery so I just put up with it.

Not any longer.  I'm currently wrapping up two full days of TYT plus the RPG (I got behind, too many meetings at work), and the battery level's still showing 90%.  Plus I'm going nuts downloading music videos--good thing this one has twice the memory, too.  My old 1st generation unit is so yesterday's news now.

And all I got her was a certificate for a 60-minute massage and a 45-minute pedicure (well, plus flowers, of course).

Am I lucky, or what?

What do I know?  I saw one and thought it looked cool.  I do hope that we have some real options for smaller laptops though.  Since I'm leaning towards a Mac for my next one, I was thinking the "Air"(?) looked like a great possibility!

I was really into the 80GB of flash RAM instead of a hard drive.  I mean, I love my current HP laptop, but how cool is that?

This is because it is less of an "iPod" and more of an "awesome Apple PDA that can do any damn thing you want it to."

I'm still in your old situation with the crappy iPod.  I also have it in a big case so it looks gigantic.   Whenever people see it, there like what's that?  Damn apple and their shoddy batteries!  Anywa y I just need to get off my lazy butt and get a new one....   Sounds like you have a great girlfriend!  I got squat for V-Day but at least I got taken out last night to some freaky-deaky club for some fun.  I did get a little scared though when this lady wouldn't stop giving me the eye....

Now that I can stand to be without it for a few days I'm going to refurbish it and give it to my son to replace his 2GB Nano.  It won't give him any new features but he'll have more memory to play with.
