This is how Republicans roll.

We've got the border fence, a Republican solution to the immigration issue.  We've got a rich wealthy Republican landowner whose country club property is directly in the path of the border fence, and who is a major contributor to Bush.  We've got many regular people whose property and homes are also in the path of the border fence.  Guess which property the border fence bypasses and which landowners are being served with lawsuits to confiscate their property?

I really don't have to add anything else, do I?  This really is a precise example.  It demostrates perfectly the quality about so many powerful conservatives that I have come to despise so much in the last few years.  They honestly believe that they ought to be able to legislate to other people, yet they should be exempt from their own policies and laws because they are somehow privileged.  They pay lip service to the constitution, but they would like to strike that annoying "all men are created equal" phrase because, you know, it's just not true. Remember Orwell, in "Animal Farm", when the pigs added "but some are more equal than others" to the farm creed?  Who knew he was referring to the Republican party of the 21st century in his satire on socialism?

They are brazen.  You have to give them that.  I think the chickens are fixing to come home to roost though.

He who has the gold makes the rules.

If it is not disgustingly obvious to anyone by now that no one in Washington wants to do anything real about this immigration thing he needs to get his head out of his ass.

It's how they make higher profit margins building houses, owning produce farms, and so on.  It's how they and their donors get cheap landscapers, day care, housecleaners, you name it.

American laborers get uppity, organize, and start demanding decent wages and working conditions.  The Repugs need a constant supply of illegals to serve as wage slaves.  Of course they'd never do anything concrete to stem the tide.

SAM: What's new, Normie?
NORM: Terrorists, Sam. They've taken over my stomach and they're demanding beer.
