Delegate counts?

Can anyone explain why the delegate counts differ from source to source?  MSNBC, CNN, AP all seem to have different numbers for Obama and Clinton.  I would think that this kind of thing is not up for question...

There is some kind of equation based on vote count that goes on and they have not counted all the votes yet. The numbers are not official yet and the news companies are projecting the outcome.

Here's an example:  Depending upon a caucus state's specific rules, a caucus might choose delegates to the county caucus, which chooses delegates to the state convention, which chooses delegates to the national convention.

Those county-level votes haven't been held yet.  The media can only guess what the final outcome will be.
