I finally got it, One has to post in the Sept. 11 Forum!

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
I have had 2 posts completely deleted, and I did not break Democratic Underground's rules.  I wish to be a part of a discourse to help assist the Democratic Party to win against the Republican Party.  I thought Democratic Underground could be that, but it is obvious that they do not wish for me to be involved with their forum.

Added:  I have talked to 3 moderaters.  One has to go into the Sept. 11 Forum to discuss anything involving a conspiracy.

I believe that our Constitution, and our Nation are under threat of dissolution.  I would like to see the Democratic Party become a wider tent than the Republican Party.  I think that it will take allowing people like myself, a Democratic Socialist, to have a place in the Democratic Party.

I would like to see the Democratic Party have as its Platform the support of all people to a Right of Conscience, and a Right of Association.  I would like the Democratic Party to become the party that supports democracy.

I have been censored on Democratic Underground.  I do not think that censorship is part of democracy.  There should be a free and fair exchange of ideas.

At the Democratic Underground, if one even questions being censored, one is censored.   Democratic Underground could be a forum for the discussion of ideas, and policies that could propel the Democratic Party, and the Nation forward.

I hope that my thoughts, and ideas about policy will be well received elsewhere, including here.

Hi everyone!

Added:  Thanks for the replies.  I appreciate Democratic Underground.  It is a big site, a lot of people, owned by Skinner, and one has to use the proper forum, and follow the rules to not be censored.  Sorry for being sore about it, but I am over that now!

Let me be the first to welcome you to TYT. I dont know if this is your first time here, but welcome nonetheless...

I wouldnt worry too much about forum censorship from Dave, the webmaster. He seems open and cool to the free flow of ideas here...

I would watch out for some of the regular posters on this site though. If you do not conform with their Obama is God complex, then you might have some issues. If you would like, you can click onto my name and send me a private message, and I will forward the names of those who drink the Obama Kool Aid...

I hope you enjoy your stay, and look forward to hearing the Democrat Socialist platform discussed here...

Thanks!!!

I always wish for a rational discussion of ideas.  I am firmly against all demagoguery.  This bothers people.  For example, when Hugo Chavez first came onto the scene, I thought that he may be a champion for the poor, and working class in Venezuala, but it sure seems he likes to talk a lot.

I hope that Sen. Obama will be a champion for us, if he becomes the Democratic Party's nominee.  I am concerned about his weaknesses.  We should be able to discuss, and address these weaknesses.  Just as we should face our own.

Peace.

OK. Let's discuss. He's been in the Senate for two years, and never accomplished anything. He has a blank resume. But he is a nice guy. End of discussion.

Obama was sworn in on January 4, 2005.  That's three years (everywheres but in Texas I suppose).

Check every "fact" you get from this guy Truthand4Justice, he posts a lot of references but I suspect he doesn't read them all because they often contradict his statements.  I often see statements of his and think to myself "That can't be right".  Nine times out of ten a little further research shows it isn't.

I'm not sayin' anything, I'm just sayin'.

hummm lets see,

  • native born, check
  • at least 35 years of age, check
  • lived in the IS for 14 years, check
In that regard, one of the few experience requirements the framers felt was important was the age requirement. Personal experience was very important to the framers. Their reasoning was that unless a citizen had reached the age of thirty-five, it was assumed  that the person to would not have experienced enough in life to govern a nation.(1)

 What would the framers say?

"In turn, Barack Obama's candidacy marks the fulfillment of the 15th Amendment guaranteeing black suffrage. Whereas Romney is the most aristocratic candidate, Obama is the least. Not because he is biracial, but because he is self-made. His parents had little wealth, prestige, and power to pass on, and both are now dead. He has chosen his own faith as an adult (Protestant Christianity, as it happens), and he remains far and away the least wealthy of the Big Four. His children are still young. In these and other ways, the historical figure he calls most to mind is not MLK or JFK or RFK—as so many have suggested—but Abraham Lincoln.

Oh, and as some of the framers would have appreciated, he can give a pretty good speech, too.(2)"

PS: Yes I did cut and paste some of this. Isn't technology great...I can teach those who haven't mastered that here

For all the bad we hear about Chavez, I know he does a hell of lot more good for the poor than Bush or anybody up here...yeah, Chavez is for Chavez, but the little guy can eat there too, whereas they didnt before...

As for Obama, I dont mind him personally, I have issues with his followers. They are not what I would call independent thinkers - they drink their Kool Aid with pride...

Will Obama be better than Bush - Of course, Dog Shit would be better than Bush - I just don't think he is the answer to the questions we have...

Thanks...I look forward to talking with you...

You're going to forward him your enemies list?  That's a great thing to do to help spur on some good debate.  "Here's a list of people you shouldn't talk to."  Way to help the community grow bobo.

Was his post about Obama?  Nope.  But your one track mind has got to bring him up again to hijack the conversation.  Some might say you're "drinking the KenTX Kool Aid" by using his lame ass tactics (get it? Cause Kool Aid is what people in cults drink. Ha ha ha!  Witty.).  The strike is over so can you come up with some new material?  The whole Kool-Aid thing is getting very old.

Welcome to Truthand4Justice though.  Sorry for the tirade in your thread.  Can I ask what your posts were about that was so bad that the DU saw fit to delete them?  Just curious.

Thanks.

You guys are always telling me to be friendly and more positive, so I was. The new person seems very nice and wants to have a fair and open discussion...I appreciate his wanting this and was simply trying to accomodate.

Spencer, you are not the center of the universe. This thread has many other people who spew a lot worse than you. The Obama people are welcome of course, but like certain drugs should only be taken in  moderation!

:) Thanks again for your help...

I'm a relatively new poster here, too, Truth4Justice.  I've been listening to TYT since April 2007, and became a member when they left AAR.

To be honest, I've been reluctant to post here b/c I'm not American (Canadian) and I'm a bit shy.  For e.g., who cares what I think about the US election--I can't even vote!

FWIW, I've found both dailykos and DU nearly unreadable, b/c of their tone lately.  Cenk has also veered into this territory of late.

Anyway, Cheers to you from the Great White North!
