Yeah right.  Hillary is just misunderstood.

You know I would believe Hillary didn't mean to prevaricate if Obama was a Muslim if her campaign didn't release that pic of Obama in Kenyan dress.

Sure she didn't mean anything by that.  Bullhockey!

I've defended Hillary too much now.  She fights too dirty.  I'm tired of it.

HRC often equivocates when she doesn't have talking points on a certain topic. That is a central point that I think was overlooked in Cenk's interview on this topic. Yes, it was an absurd question to ask her repeatedly about Obama's faith, but is shouldn't be difficult to answer if your omnipresent focus is knowing and defeating your oppononet.

HRC's very predictable behavior at present is to lash out at her perceived enemy when she sees the end of her power-quest approaching. When you read about her childhood and her relationship with her father, you begin to understand why she likes to see herself as a "fighter" in a male-dominated world. She just hasn't figured out yet, that this old patterned behavior doesn't work anymore in the setting of this presidential race. Voters are finally catching on that endless confrontation doesn't solve problems. That's why Obama has won. And now, as Jayar said in different words, she just can't stop beating the dead horse.

God knows, I've lost all respect for Hillary.  I thought for a while that she would be the nominee, although she was my second least-favorite, behind Kucinich (many of whose policies I like but who appears to be a real nutcase).  Beyond my policy disagreements with her, I believed that she was a good person at heart and that I could vote for her.  But there's no way that I could vote for her now.  She's shown too many ethical lapses.

Still, I'm not convinced that Hillary had an ulterior motive in that interview.  Steve Croft deliberately formatted his question to encourage some kind of doubt about Obama.  He asked Clinton, “You don't believe that Senator Obama's a Muslim?”

The form of question itself is suspect, and if it was thrown at me and I wanted to avoid punching Croft in the face, I might be overly polite, too, as I think Clinton was.

I think she was caught off-guard by an ill-motivated question.  She simply flubbed the answer, but I don't think she had any intent to cast any aspersions on Obama in her answer to that specific question.

"God knows, I've lost all respect for Hillary. But there's no way that I could vote for her now.  She's shown too many ethical lapses."

But how much you wanna bet that you vote for her in the general election if she wins the nomination?

What does this even prove Ken?  That sometimes you have to vote for a candidate that you're not that big of a fan of because the alternative is worse.  Devastating point.  You're really breaking new ground here.  We're all flip floppers.  Gotcha!

So McCain is the perfect candidate for you or...?  Because I bet you'll vote for his "amnesty" granting, free speech hating ass in a heartbeat.

You keep asking this question over and over like you're making some powerful point, but you're not really saying anything.  If I'm wrong, please clue me in to your subtle nuances.

He's asked me that question two or three times before.  I've already told him that I'm convinced that Clinton will not be the nominee.  I think he must know that in that context his question is utter nonsense, but he continues to ask me anyway, knowing that I've already answered him several times.

I don't understand him, but there are lots of people that I don't understand beyond that I can't help them.

You'd vote for Susan Collins if she were the GOP nominee, correct?

Cynicism is poison to reform and pumps life into the status quo.

I was just pointing out that those aren't the only two issues you care about, though you've been saying it a lot lately.  It's okay Ken, I know what you're doing.  You're trying to make yourself less and less conservative so it will be easier to jump the fence when Obama becomes president.  It's alright, all your past sins will be forgiven. ;)

Hillary is a trained ATTORNEY, she gave an attorneys answer, just like every other ATTORNEY who was worth a shit would give.

When you practice law you learn to qualify everything.

The question was asked "do you think Obama is a Muslim", she gave a legal answer "not to my knowledge".

Of course we can leave it to the misogynist hate mongers to turn something as innocuous as a simple answer and spin it into some sort of racist comment.

Well done grasshoppers, Karl Rove has taught you all well.

by Hubble on 03/13/2008 09:14:21 PM EST

You're right.  It is an lawyerly answer.  But it is questionable because she  (or someone associated with her campaign) had already released that pic of Obama dressed in Muslim garb.  And then when people questioned why, the campaign responds "What?  What's the problem here?  It's a nice pic and he shouldn't be ashamed".

It's all about context grasshopper.  Wouldn't a lawyer understand that?

OHHHHHH NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S A PICTURE.
So is Obama ashamed of the picture?

Isn't it better that the stupid picture came out now instead of a Rovian October surprise. Hell whoever it was (and the only thing I've seen claiming it was the Clinton campaign is the word of that piece of shit Mat Drudge) did release it did Obama Christ a huge favor by making it old news.

If Obama Christ had made better decisions about what he chose to be photographed in perhaps he wouldn't be caught looking like a Muslim, it really shows poor lack of planning for someone who wants to be the leader of the free world. I mean of course, if it was something he was embarrassed by or if there was anything wrong with it, which we have been assured there wasn't.
I must say it is a bit dizzying this spin, we are not ashamed of the photo but we are offended that it’s been released, not that there is anything wrong with it, and it was proper to wear the costume, but it was racist to release, not that the outfit is racist just someone publishing a photo of Obama Christ in it. WHAT?

So what we have is the Obama Christ campaign taking a stupid photo that they claim there is nothing wrong with, being offended that someone released it, and then painting Hillary as the bad guy for releasing a photo that there is nothing wrong with. Is anyone paying attention to this?

If I didn't know better I would think this was just too convenient for words. Very Rovian, create the scandal so you can be offended by the scandal, and make your opponent look bad in the process.

Not that Obama Christ would EVER, EVER do something as evil, vile, and sinister as Hillary.

More Kool-Aid please!

It's called politics grasshopper, and you haven't seen the first act yet. This is just the orchestra warming up.

"So is Obama ashamed of the picture?"

So you really don't get it?  Do you really want us to think you're that dumb?

I don't, and I want to know why you refuse to acknowledge the affect that Hillary intended and achieved with many voters when she used that picture in her marketing campaign.  There were two effects, and she achieved both of them:

1) To inflame the prejudices of people who are susceptible to prejudice agains Muslims, and

2) To give people like you a chance to dishonestly claim innocence, further inflaming the prejudices of people who are easily manipulated by them.

She accomplished both of those goals.  And now that she's thoroughly disgusted people who do value ethical behavior and now that she stands no chance of winning the nomination, I hope that you enjoy the results of your efforts.

If there is nothing wrong with the picture, then all Obama had to do is say "Yea, it's a funny looking costume isn't it. Remember when President Bush dressed up like this?
Bush in drag

Or when Laura wore this

Laura

When you visit foreign countries sometimes you have to do things that makes you look silly in our culture."

Then a simple

"When you want to work with other countries to solve world wide problems, this is sometimes what you have to do."

One simple statement, holding up one simple photo and the entire controversy is over, BUT  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the Obamabots must play the race card one more time and play victim. You get a lot more air time from the talking heads when you play the victim card, and the Hillary is a demon from hell, than when you laugh it off and explain what it really was.

Poor, poor Obama, has ever a black man been victimized more since the slaves were freed?

Now really who doesn't get it?

Is that grape Koolaid? Looks delicious but I'm afraid I'm allergic.

That's what's so disappointing to so many of us about Clinton, her supporters, and Republicans: you suffer from either total ethical blindness or absolute dishonesty.

Have a nice trip to Nowheresville, because that's where Hillary is headed because of her unethical behavior.

Do you really not understand what they're (whoever did it) trying to imply by releasing that photo?  You're not that dumb Hubble.  Or....

When they put the picture of Bush in Japanese garb up, they don't do it in a way that says "psst.  He might be working for the enemy."  We just use it to mock him like a good American should.  But that Obama picture is now attached to those stupid ass muslim smear e-mails.  Can you say "it's incredibly obvious what they're implying and you're immensely thick if you can't see it"?  I knew you could!

But it's Purplesaurus Rex BTW, and yes, it's delicious.  OH YEAH!

Allow me to briefly opine, since I'm the most impartial guy in this debate.

1. Both sides are equally bashing the other candidate.

2. You guys are killing the Democrat Party.

3. It makes me happy.

4. Your best hope for victory in November is selecting Al Gore as a compromise candidate.

I can't believe you're not smart enough to figure this out. Excuse me, while I go back to being happy!

We must kill the Democrat party so that the DEMOCRATIC party can survive.

And can you, or anyone else, name an Obama smear of Hillary (other than what's her face calling Clinton a monster) that is not true?  I really am wondering, since it's been so equal and all.

Lastly, I love this particular Ken tactic "I can't believe you're not smart enough to figure this out."  Yeah, keep saying that you're smart.  That'll make us believe you, cause you've been right on oh so many things.

And BTW, was McCain for or against the tax cuts?  Oh!  That's right, he was both.  Glad to see you've got the perfect candidate who's everything to everyone in the Republic (witty huh?) party.

Obama followers are ripping Hillary to shreds. Just read the posts in this forum for examples.

"Yeah, keep saying that you're smart."
I didn't say I was smart. I said this: "Hubble and Lord Foul and bobo are very intelligent."

"And BTW, was McCain for or against the tax cuts?"
Here is what McCain said tonight on Hannity and Colmes. He says that he will not increase taxes.

Despite all of his previous statements against tax cuts.

And Obama SUPPORTERS are bashing Hillary.  Has his CAMPAIGN smeared her (other than the "monster" thing I mentioned before)?

No, you didn't say you were smart, but you said "I can't believe you're not smart enough to figure this out" implying that you, handing down your knowledge from on high, are just trying to help us poor stupid Democrat party members and keep us from putting our fingers in the outlets.  Save your sage advice for your own party, cause you'll be needing it soon enough.

Look at your comments, first you attribute my positions to someone else. Then you accuse me of following some sort of bash Obama template and then finally I am called a "mad-liberal".

You attack me because Kentx had the nerve to call me intelligent?

When have I "bashed" Obama? I ask questions, I raise concerns and that makes me a "mad liberal"?

Kentx and I have had some interesting debates in the past. Even tough we disagree on most topics we are civil.

Besides, the Obama Bashing Template(TM) and Obama Bashing Mad-Libs(TM) are now protected and can no longer be used without Bobo's permission.

But if you act quickly his new Kool-Aid flavor could be yours.
