Of Bush the Elected, you wrote, "But he passed the ultimate test for a president: When it came to choosing between his political interests and the interests of his country, he chose his country. His son has failed this test over and over again."

I agree that Poppy showed courage then, but I have to ask the same question now that you've asked regarding McCain: "What happened?"

Do you think Poppy doesn't know his boy is an irresponsible, drunken idiot who shouldn't be allowed to handle his own finances, much less lead the country? Why didn't Poppy speak up in 2000? Why did he let America slide into ruin when he was uniquely qualified to prevent it?

I know, family makes it harder to step up. But when the fate of the whole world hangs in the balance, loyalty cannot excuse it.  Whatever respect the elder Bush has earned died when he backed his worthless son for President.

I agree, McCain used to be a conservative...somtime in the 80's that is. Now he's an ultra-lib, and every year in the senate he gets more liberal. His ACU rating during the last year put him to the left of Chuck Hagel and Lindsey Graham.

Nice job McCain.
