In short, no, they shouldn't, for a couple of reasons.
First off, Obama is likely to be the Democratic nominee,
barring grand theft election by Hillary Clinton.
So no one should be rooting for anything potentially damaging to him, unless of course they'd prefer John McCain to become the next president. Which brings me to my second point.
If you want to compare crazy religious figures and their influence on Obama and McCain, it's no contest. McCain wins (or loses I should say) for having more craziness behind him.
Of course the resident conservatives here don't see it that way (you know who you are). But let's say Pastor Wright really does hate Whites/White America. He's an idiot, but do you think Obama is going to push for a Hate-Whitey bill? Or a Black-Supremacy bill?
In what way will Obama's pastor influence Obama's presidency in any damaging way?By contrast, do you think
bomb-bomb-bomb-Iran--
there will be more wars-McCain might start another war in the Middle East, which happens to be desired not only by
Rev. Hagee (the guy who wants to expedite
the rapture through more Middle Eastern conflict), but also by McCain's "spiritual guide" Rod Parsley (
who thinks America is based on fighting Islam)?
Exactly.
