EV Count Update for 3/19/08: More good news for McCain

Note: The polling firm PPP is always biased in favor of Clinton, so when they show Clinton winning narrowly its unlikely to be true. However, the rules are that I must use the latest poll for each state, so here's today's update.

Great news for McCain:

In CO, Mac beats Clinton by 14 now ties Obama.

In NH, he beats Clinton by 6, Obama by 3.

NH by the way, was formerly in the D column for both Clinton and Obama, now it's 4 EVs go to McCain.

OH: this PPP poll shows Clinton over Mac by 1, Mac over Obama by 8.

I am sure that the next poll will show that McCain is still ahead in the Buckeye state for reasons explained earlier.

FL: another PPP poll, shows Obama losing by 11, Clinton losing by 4. Since all the polls have shown McCain leading in FL the bias doesn't effect the EV tally.

So with 25 states reporting here are the EV totals:

McCain vs Clinton:

McCain: 227, 62.9%
Clinton: 134, 37.1%

McCain vs Obama:

McCain: 207,57.3%
Obama: 125, 34.6%

NJ, CO and NM are tied

So the trend of Clinton closing the gap with Obama continues, as McCain marches relentlessly towards victory.

The next OH poll will show him ahead there resulting in Clinton falling ever farther behind McCain.

If Mac's momentum in CO continues he will pick up that state, he now holds NH, and he may be able to pick off WI, WA and OR which McCain is all winning over Clinton.

I was hoping that maybe the dems can somehow pull off a miracle but it appears that, barring the death of McCain prior to Nov, 1606 US soldiers will in fact be slated for execution in the George Bush/John McCain meatgrinder known as Iraq.

If the dems can't win in 08 then they will never win again.

It'll be a struggle, but the Democrats will win both the White House and have even bigger majorities in both houses of Congress.

McCain is feeling good enough to start making some policy speeches.  His feet will be so bandaged from shooting himself so often that he won't be able to run at all.  The guy is a loon, and the American people are sick of nutcases.  Just look how quickly they filtered out the rest of the Republican field.  The only reason that McCain got the nomination is that he's less insane than any of the other candidates.

But he's still off his rocker.

Eveningstar is correct.

There is some good news out today, (check the today's EV count for specifics) but Clinton and Obama are still behind in total EV count.

Until I see either one, or preferably both, kicking McCain's ass handidly in the national polls and EV totals, I shall continue to weep for the 1728 US soldiers that McCain is hell bent on killing.

(The average number of US soldiers who died/day in the last 2 weeks is now up to 1.2, multiplied by 1440 days McCain would be president)
