The uglier this thing gets, the muddier the water gets.....

 

the more I see an opening for Gore. 

Hear me out before you tell me I'm crazy.  I am currently supporting Obama, but neither candidate will go to the convention with enough delegates.  Obama will be wounded and Clinton will have negatives through the roof.  There will be a brouhaha at the convention.  Someone will have to resolve it.  Probably this person who will try to resolve it will be Gore. 

 He'll suggest a ticket with both of them but there will be no agreement as to who should be on top.  The longer this stuff goes on, the more nervous the delegates get.  Finally SOMEONE will suggest that Gore be the nominee in order to resolve the impass.  There would be confusion, anger, but then.........a great deal of relief.

 Gore wins on the third vote (after the first two votes result in an impass).

Gore picks Obama as his running mate.

 Now..... someone please wake me from this very nice dream.  :)

I can see this sort of scenario happening...much to the dismay of the Hillary supporters...

If something else along the same lines as "Wright-gate" hits Obama between now and Denver (Resko-Saudi gate perhaps...) , I can see the convention being completely wrecked and a Gore come in and claim delegates...

I would hope that Dr "Quackers" Dean wouldnt allow this, but he hasnt shown any huevos thus far...

I dont know about Obama the running mate, though...If he is too damaged to be President, he just might be out completely...Edwards or Richardson could slip into the VP spot...

I don't know about your town,But here In small town wisconsin,south wisconsin. I here and see very little come up about race , Except what I here from the race riddin new's that is on our tv's. Not that racism Is not all around , At the supper table's in there own home's

Now I myself I have no problem with any race, We live around white,Mexican ,some from India , Although a small # of black american's I do not put any of them down. I think we are all on a level plain.
It Is the media that make's the race the problem In everything that's said , Like obama's pastor's word's that they took part's and put them all togeter to make it look so racist to begin with.
The same happen's when they take the candidate's word and make them seem what they are not.  tyt , abc , fox , nbc , the right and the left, And the so called progressive's whice are just left wing dem's , And nothing new. So it's the media that make's this a big deal.

And I do know that race is a big problem in this the USA  and need's to get much better, but there are some good out there on race , And more than people think

Framing the argument so Democrats can't win (none / 0)
The $media-for-money$ framed the argument so that the Dem's can't win, but so that they can make a ton of money on Democratic destruction.  The $media$ is taking advantage of Democratic politician incompetence in creating a system which seems almost impossible to figure out-- which the $media$ is intentional making more confusing.
This is the fact, there are certain delegates who don't vote during the primary-- primarily politicians, who only vote at the convention.
During the primary when we lowly citizens get to participate there are only 3253 delegates at stake, of which Obama only needs 213 more out of the remaining 566 to have a majority and "win" the primary.  Hillary can do the same if she gets 375 of the remaining delegates.  And I really don't care which one does it, because either one is better than John Keating McCain.
  When the $media$ says that the Democratic candidate needs 2024+ delegates, they are not speaking about the primary, but rather they are referring to the convention.  By taking advantage of this stupid Democratic incompetence, they are saying that the Democratic candidate has to have so many pledged delegates during the primary that the superdelegates at the convention don't matter. 
This is the same conflating and fuzzing thinking that got us stuck in Iraq: Saddam had WMD in the past, terrorists attacked us, Saddam hates us, so he will give WMD to terrorists to attack us. 
Granted "superdelegates"& nbsp;brought us the debacle in Florida and Michigan, but I loathe the essential unstated premise in the $media$ impli cation in hyping the triviality of the candidates' sniping-- that the Democratic Politicians will reverse the primary and destroy the party.  They might, and Saddam might have had WMD, but it is a long long long shot.
51% wins the "primary" of the overwhleming number of Democratic voters who turned out during the primary-- and that is 51% of the people entitle to vote in the primary, not the politicial hacks at the convention who get be be "super"&n bsp;for the nomination. But neither Hillary or Obama have to get 70% to win the primary.  
And if my local political hacks try to reverse democrary, good luck on getting re-elected or getting one more dime from me.   Partisans from either camp who think this is an agrument between Democrats are tools of the machine-- secretly jonesing for Bush-McCain.
 On the other hand, we are the party who brought you Vice President Joe Lieberman, field mouse Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi.

A few weeks ago racism only had a foot out the closet door instead of it's whole drooling stinking body.

A few weeks ago it didn't look like BOTH candidates were mortally wounded.

A few weeks ago I wasn't 100% sure what how much of McCain's mind and soul had gone missing (only 95%).

Gore is not going to be the nominee, so don't waste your time thinking about it.  Obama is going to be the nominee and it's going to be up to the rest of us Democrats to get him elected.  With the Richardson endorsement, I think the Edwards endorsement can't be far behind, and hopefully Gore will be on board soon enough as well.  Obama is by far the most powerful person in the party right now, and it's up to the rest of us to complete his support.
