Lets Pick a VP for John McCain!!!!!

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
Tim and Fred and the others want me to stop bitching about you know who, so lets flip the table for a bit and talk about the half of the race thats already decided...

Who can Grandpa Death Pick as VP in order to counter he who shall remain nameless in this post...

I have a few ideas floating around in this perverse head of mine, but I would much rather hear your thoughts on the matter...

I will just say that no one here should be surprised if old Maverick Boy pulled a real stunner out of that wobbly Ass of his and shocked the world by a pick...

McCain/Clinton - According to a lot of you guys, this is already seemingly in the works...

McCain/ Lieberman - Oy Vey!!!

McCain/Graham - doesn't it seem like Lindsey Graham is always physically attached to Grandpa Death at all times?

McCain/ Minnesota Governor Paulenty (sp) - Ive heard this one a lot - but probably just to try to help old Norm Coleman...

Any thoughts? I know this isnt you guys area of expertise (or perhaps even interest), but lets see what we can come up with. I promise not to hijack my own thread to steer it toward our presumptive nominee...

Remember, we do have to beat this guy in November, and He's gonna do anything he can to beat us...the VP pick is key to that in my opinion...

Thanks...

Is he conservative enough for the Republicans, though? He is technically Jewish, you know!!

Dick Cheney.

He is, after all, eternal. From time immemorial this demon has feasted upon the fears and weaknesses of mankind. Known by many names and seen in countless forms, this incarnation may be the most devious of them all. Who knows how long it may persist among the shadows this time?

(Ed.- There have also been rumors circulating, among those who know, that in this epoch the being has actually taken two forms simultaneously. The whispers are silenced quickly, but the name they speak can still be heard as an echo upon the ominous winds of night. Though barely audible, it seems to hang in the air once heard, as if it were taking subtantive form. Then it vanishes. As near as can be made it out, it seems to be- KarlRove.)

If the objective is to balance the ticket, you need to examine McCain's many deficits in order to determine the traits that his VP needs. If your candidate is intellectually lazy, ultra-white, judgmental, foul tempered, adulterous, and bat-shit crazy, the only person who could balance him out is Barack Obama. Unfortunately for McCain, Obama will be otherwise occupied with giving the GOP a much needed ass-whipping this Fall.

As far as Hillary has gone to say that McCain would be a better choice than our most likely Democratic nominee, (whose name I will not mention in keeping with the spirit of this post) I would see it as most logical that she be on his ticket. It would virtually guarantee her getting back inside the White House, as she so desperately seems to value over the well-being of the nation.

But, really, who would be the most fitting pick?? That's easy.

JEB BUSH.

I normally find it annoying when people add luls to their own posts/comments. But, seriously..... LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHAH

That would be AWESOME.

McCain would be wise to exploit the deepening fissure in the Democrat Party.

If Obama wins the Democrat nomination, McCain should select Kay Bailey Hutchison. This combination will be attractive to women who are disenchanted with the Democrat Party nomination process.

If Hillary wins the Democrat nomination, McCain should select Collin Powell. This combination will be attractive to African Americans who are disenchanted with the Democrat Party nomination process.

Note that I made this prediction way back in January of 2007.

by KenTX on 03/24/2008 01:41:19 AM EST

... though I disagree a bit with you that voters of those groups would be disenchanted with the Democratic Party nomination process, per se. Although I have to admit I may be disagreeing with something simply since its you who made the comment.

More on point, though, I think that you are overestimating the intelligence and interest in diversity of both the Repugnican Party and the McCain campaign. In addition, I think Powell feels used enough by insane, ignorant war-mongers.

I'm hoping he picks someone like Giuliani so there is no chance that the far right will unify behind him. I'm worried that if he selects Romney, some of them might actually consider voting for McCain,.

Really? Didn't you support a Paul-Kucininch ticket?

As long as Paul is on the top of the ticket...and not the bottom of it... acroso on Ron Paul Forums

Yeah Ron Paul and Kucininch...that would be a real vote getter...

Parent post on RPF:

This would be the greatist thing ever in life, I have looked into Dennis here and there and he does seem like the democratic Ron Paul and man if they ran together when the time was right this country would hit a 360 and get back right in an instant i think. But check this video out of Kucinich at one of the debates, the man was on fire! He has that fire that RP is missing some of the time:

Now after you watch that just imagine if they ran together..... They are already good friends and have worked together
!

 Your response:

As long as Paul is on the top of the ticket...and not the bottom of it...

 Liar

However, there is a problem you ignore.

If Hillary is the nominee, the fissure will assuredly be a problem.
If Barack is the nominee, the fissure will close.  Obama can do it.  Clinton cannot.

Your dreaming. Powell will never be a VP candidate.  Powell has said so emphatically numerous times. Besides

" the popularity of General Powell would almost certainly diminish soon after he began to campaign. In part his high prestige rests on his reputation as an Olympian figure, undefiled by politics."  National Review

Huchinson is looking at the Texas govenorship...no interest in VP.

During an interview , Hutchison said, “I don’t want to be vice president. I’ve said that over and over again. I’m going in a different direction. I really do not want to be vice president." Hutchison, who is said to be considering a gubernatorial bid in 2010, added, “I want to be helpful. I want to be on the team. I do not want to be vice president.” MSNBC

I guess she figure if Bush could do it, how hard could it be?

If they asked me if I wanted to be VP, and president-in-waiting behind a guy who is 71 years old, I would deny it also. I liked Mitt Romney's honest response: "Who wouldn't want the job?"

All Powell has to look forward to is the rubber chicken circuit.
