Kerry/McCain '04

If John McCain had jumped on the ticket with John McCain in 2004.... could we perhaps have had a different result? I don't think swiftboat would have been as effective, and probably wouldn't have cost Kerry too many votes in any of the states that he won.

That was his last chance to change history. He took the safe route to the republican nomination. Only time will tell if he made a good choice.

Yes we would have been spared a McCain candidacy in 2008....

Kerry would have rejected him as a running mate and we wouldn't have to deal with him anymore.
