Al Gore is the answer.

How many dozens of times have I predicted in this forum that Al Gore will be the eventual nominee? He makes your other candidates look like the pygmies that they are.

Where is he trading on Intrade? 1000 to 1? I think I'll lay down $1000 in pursuit of a million dollar payday.

The latest from Joe Klein.

The idea is interesting, but I really think it ain't gonna happen.  I was initially reluctant to back Obama 100% after Edwards dropped out, but I think he has grown from pygmy size in most people's estimation.  If Al Gore had wanted to be in the race, it seems like he would have taken advantage of the momentum and excitement he was getting earlier from his rabid supporters.  Once he made his definitive statement about not running, I think his supporters were pretty deflated.  Most of them probably ended up turning to Obama and to ask them to all go back to Gore might be hard.  Maybe Edwards is the one who dropped out too early.  I don't believe Obama is a miraculous savior or anything, but I do feel very good about supporting him.

You really do love us? You really want the Dems to win?

You already made your bet didn't you?

Gore/Obama would work.

Just a friendly little reminder, her heart still beats.

Maybe if you give her Chief Justice she might leave you alone.

If I lay a $1000 on Al Gore with the potential of a million dollar payout, you can consider me a Democrat for 2008 only.

I don't think its legal for Americans to bet on Intrade, but maybe I can place bets on the political horserace in Lake Charles? I'll check with my good friend bfaul.

Obama is fine.  We'll take our chances with him.

This is a non-starter. I would have a problem if they snatched the nomination from either Obama or Clinton and just handed it to Gore. Even though I'm an Obama supporter, both he AND Hillary have fought the good fight here. This would be just as bad as Hillary trying to thwart the will of the voters. As much as I love Al, he as not been battle tested for THIS campaign. Also, remember the 2000 election should have been a layup for him, but he did not run as good a race as he should have. Because of that, he left the door open for Bush and the 'pubs to steal the election. If he had won just ONE more state, such as his OWN HOME STATE, history would be different now. The Gore for president bandwagon has been drydocked. It's time to move along.

Because ManBearPig would be very difficult for the GOP to defeat this year.

The longer this thing goes, the more likely that Al is your candidate.
