Rush Caller Calls Obama A Monkey

I hope somebody had the tape recorders running today...

Because I sure didn't.  Anyway, a caller to Limbaugh, at the end of the second hour, said that her daughter tells her Barack Obama looks like Curious George.  Rush has a good laugh at this and then goes to break.  When he comes back for the end of the hour, he starts talking about how he's never even heard of Curious George and he didn't know he was a monkey, then he continues down the same path for the entire first segment of hour three.  He says that he just laughed to be polite and that the people in the booth told him who Curious George was during the break.  Call me crazy, but I doubt that he had never heard of Curious George before, being that George was born in '41 and Limbaugh was spaw ned in '51.  Hopefully I'm not the only one who heard this.

Im sorry to say this (especially since alot of you guys know I am not an Obama supporter) but this is only the beginning...Its gonna be really hard to hide the sentiments (racially motivated or politically motivated) a lot of people feel toward Obama...

This is why I dont listen to Rush anymore, but that makes no difference...Like Spinny said, he'll get a free pass (and free publicity if it goes public). We live in ugly times, and we haven't learned to get past that yet...

A Christopher Hitchens fan, are you?  That explains a couple of things.  While I tend to agree with many of his positions on religion I think his position on Iraq shows an almost manic fear of Islam.  I don't believe that killing people moves them away from religion and toward a more rational stance.
