Dear Cenk,

Just wanted you to know that whatever happens tomorrow, you are not alone. We are all hoping for a peaceful future with cooperation and understanding between peoples of all cultures and nationalities. Yes, there are cynics. Yes, there are fools. But there have always been cynics and fools, and there have always been people like us. There's always been people like us, and we have moved society forward. The thinkers, the visionaries, the believers, we're here.

Times may get darker, before they get brighter. But just keep believing. You are not alone. I too, believe in respecting human life, real life, the foolishness of judging people on their race, and the essential possibility for progress and even, maybe, a united world.

Cynics, those who have become comfortable on the easy path of hedonism and despair, will undoubtedly slam this letter, but I wanted to reach out to you, and let you know about the dream that I and so many others share.

I'm with you too Naomi (none / 1)
It is my dream and hope that this country would be enlightened enough to elect a Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton for that matter in my lifetime. I'm part of the baby boom generation,  but I place my hope in young folks like yourself, Cenk, and others. My generation is just too jaded and focused on race, creed, color, and other groupings of people instead of being focused on just people. You guys have to keep hope alive and press on. There is a movement going on that was just waiting to be born. Obama just lit the match and has ignited what was already there. No matter what happens, the genie is out of the bottle and will not be stopped. Don't let the 'haters in the press throw cold water on what is going on. We need to MAKE them situp and take notice so that they will stop with the bullshit and start reporting the truth. They want us to despair so that we crawl back into our apathy hole and ignore them while they continue to wreck this country. You guys will be living here for a lot longer than I will. Now is the time to speak out if you want to make sure that us baby boomers don't completely wreck things and leave you guys with a 3rd world country. That is where we are headed.
