Foreign Policy:
War: I thoroughly disapprove of war, and no matter what the cost is, either it will be my career, or my life, I will not let another war spawn and erupt across the world, on my watch.
Promoting Capitalism: I have a simple plan to spread capitalism that many of you remember from the YoungTurks segment on the item it is named after in Iran. I have formulated a plan called the 'Barbie Plan'. We spread capitalism and peace not through bombs and soldiers, but through products. We have to encourage the governments that are unruley and dictatoral that there is a better way of living, even for them and their family. No kid should be without a book, nor without a doll or toy, as long as we have the power to say something about it.
Nation Care: I believe that the Peace Corps, that was started under John F. Kennedy in the early 1960's, should be hugely funded and defended to allow citizens to go to developing countries with no fear of being attacked by extremeists, nor enemies of the state, nor Al-Qaeda. Each bach of Peace Corps personel will be banded together, and defended by no more then two squads of American soldiers. The Marines have done enough, and they need to recharge their batteries. I respect the Marines and their sacrifices, so they need to be given a break. They spear-headed the Iraq Invasion, so they need to sit out and re-fuel, re-arm, and re-supply their ranks. I am hoping that, through this sufficiant support, that the Peace Corps will be able to operate peacefully, since we need to show that we are not kidding; we are intent on protecting our citizens, and that we are merely here to help.
Dictatorships: As I said for the 'Barbie Plan', we need to be able to peacefully settle ravenous and dangerous dictatorships, not saying not all of them are bad. However, Capitalism still should spread throughout the country, and give people a fair chance and a fair voice. We do not need to storm the beaches of every dictatorship with boots and tanks, we need to peacefully talk with our enemies, and see where we can make an accord. Former President Jimmy Carter did not end the Arab-Israeli conflict through soldiers, he ended through skillful politics, and capitalism retorts. No tanks, no guns, no soldiers, no nuclear holocaust. We need to re-open our options, and not be isolated from both our enemies and our allies.
Foreign Justice Laws: This is the thing that makes Cenk Uyger fired up and ready to fight. If courts on foreign land make a decision that seems immorale, and that is against the civil rights for all humans, and goes against values for any human being, the United Nations should have a say in it. The average person saw in the newspaper, gazette, article, and magazine that a woman in Austria was bound, raped, and made to bear children that were miraculous not to all die due to the incest from her father, and the court is considering a 15-year sentence for the man. What if he lives longer then that sentence? What if he goes free? What will the children born from him say? What about the woman and the children who have not seen a light of day for over 24 years? Do they get a say in this?
We need to tell foreign governments when they are doing something wrong, and try to, through policy, to improve the living standards of people in foreign nations, without invading them nor annexing them.
Domestic Policies:
Economics: I have a plan to help push forward some of former President Franklin Delanor Roosevelt's New Deal plans into order, and, as well, promote civil projects and community plans to help stimulate the economy with new jobs for people to do, to give them money to buy products, and keep the cycle going while trying to keep corporations here and bring more back.
As well, we need to end the corporate tax cuts down to 10%, and keep it there. They do not need it at the moment, and they need to give back to the American people. I propose a tax cut of nearly 35% for all Americans- black, white, asian, hispanic, you name it, your taxes are cut.
People cannot buy products when they're being hammered by taxes, we need to help them, and have them stimulate the economy through more benefitable purchases.
We need to, as well, secure a way where companies will not be able to leave America for a set amount of time. We cannot have every company leaving the United States with millions of dollars, and that goes for corporate businessmen that advise for more money to be given to the CEO's who drive companies into the ground, and threaten a recession. We need to tax the CEO's who have left companies in disastor, with large amounts of taxes, as well goes for the super rich, such as billionares. This country will not heal with the 99% of Americans, we need the super rich to help. I know, they will not like it, but it is not like they are using their money for anything better, and if we go down, they go down too. No more movies, no more shows, no more money for them.
If I am doing anything wrong in my terms in politics, I will suggest professors in economics to lecture me on what to do. I will have progressive and liberal economics majors give me advice. I want to help the nation, not make a blunder out of it.
Military: We need to keep our military stable and under control. We need to cut military spending back sufficiantly, so we can keep a stable military power, but as well, we can keep the recession from driving us down. I propose that we stop making ships all together, the same goes for main battle tanks. We need to find a cheaper and more efficiant way to make war machines, and quite frankly, when a single tank that can be blown to smithereens by common-made bombs costs nearly $20 to 200 million dollars, something screwed up big-time.
As well, we need to keep our private and public contractors under control. Such as the KBR incident with the woman who was tied up and raped for days on end, that should not happen to a country who is famed as the 'land of the free'. We are not the country famed as 'land of the rape'. I will not stand for any sort of civil injustice in any part of the government, military, or anything. Prostitution is fine, as long as you are a single man, or woman. However, if you cheat on your spouse with a prostitute, then that is a problem. Prostitution is not a problem, it is merely when it is miss-used. The women and men who choose to become 'sex toys', CHOOSE TO. We have no right in stopping them. They need to be of-age, and have a license to do so. I call for a restriction of prostitution age to be from twenty two to twenty eight. Anything above or lower will be charged with a $20,000 fine for breaking this law I propose, and not only that, the family of the accused will be tried for not doing anything to stop this, if they have had well-knowledge of this act.
Energy: We should not be under the control of foreign oil. We need to spread out money to projects that promote the creation of new energy products, such as solar energy, hydrogen energy, electrical cars, the list goes on. We need to use the renewable and natural substances around us to help us succeed in a newer nation. I do not want the Earth to be in a crisis in 2100, that we could have stopped today.
Enviroment: Global Warming is one of my greatest concerns. Our efforts to heal the enviroment are great, but are not enough. We lack sufficiant cooperation to help save our planet from massive flooding, and cancer that is caused by harmful UV radiation from the sun that is getting through steadily. Acid rain pelts through forest after forest, and the soil is breaking down. We need to stop wasting so much paper that we do not need, and we need to bring our paper-using activities into the 21st century. I propose that throughout Long Island, New York, we give all the students lap-top computers that are used for educational purposes only. The paper once used for school will be slashed in three quarters, and as well, we will loosen the grip on tree's, and start re-planting them. Of course, this is only a test-run. If it fails, then we need to re-assess our situation.
Also, we need to stop the cutting down and burning of tropical forests in South America, and stop the poaching of animals all across the world. Animals are being hunted for merely nothing, and our ecosystems are being slapped around, punched in the stomach, and bit in the ears. We need to stop the madness here and now, while we still have a chance! We need to make it illegal to poach animals, and we need to stop the destruction of tropical forests, and re-plan the forests and allow them to re-grow. If we allow more ecosystems to fail, then we will face a catastrophe.
For example, the honey bee is being killed off by disease. If we allow the bee to be killed off, then we will lose our source of flowers, since pollination will be less frequent, and we will lose trees with flower for pollination, as well, we will lose honey, and we will lose many more things that rely on the bee for a stable enviroment.
These are my political views, and I hope you will comment on them.
