Condi Rice for VP!!!!

I've gotta stop reading Drudge...

Like a moth to the flame, I am drawn to the inner reaches of the dark side (aka the Drudge Report) every day for my news...

I know, I know - Im a conservative troll bastard Republican (You can shut up now China Guy, I get it...) But anyway, a very interesting headline that I would like to put on our board for dismissal and evisceration...

Condi Rice is actively seeking the VP spot...

Here is the link:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/po liticalradar/2008/04/dan-se nor-condo.html

What do you think? Woman and Black, she for all of her inconsistencies and Bush Lovin' would still deflate the sails of the "We're Gonna Have a Black President" mantra that the ObamaBots have been not so secretly chanting...

An interesting thought, does she drag away some of the women who are still disgruntled over the Hillary implosion? How about for the white "Anti Wright" vote, because we damn well know Condi "aint never been to no America hatin' black churh"...(Any hillbilly accent would work for the previous statement).

Please, tear away at my Obama hating logic, but I think that McCain might seriously consider this as an option... He's already left the Bible thumping Conservatives high and dry (and they will still vote for him before they vote for a liberal black guy), why shouldnt he go after these supposedly "high minded" voters that Obama so desperately courts... tak about bringing America together!!!!

Grandpa Death is Evil, yes, but dumb, no not really...

Any thoughts?

To get the real answer, you should ask her "roomate". Im not sayin, Im just sayin.

Same thing applies to Charlie Crist...the family values crowd frowns on that sort of thing.

Of course its all rumors with those two but I doubt the Cainites will want to throw gasoline on the media speculation and the inevitable "partner" that will pop up.

In 2002 Crist attended a FRC fund raiser in his home town of StPete . He took his mother. He shared a table with...wait for it...Mark Foley and of course, his mother. His first marriage was annulled after 3 months. Rarely seen socially with females and on and on.

Too bad, as far as VP's go ,Crist would be a good fit...a nice guy..young, handsome and articulate and good on the stump.  Crist is moderate, and has a good TV presence and unlike 99% of Republicans a social conscience. He also has a killer tan and is one of the best dressed politicians in recent memeory...that of course ands fire to the rumors

To most of us it wouldn't make a difference but the God Squad crowd would crucify McCain even if it was a rumor. Of course Charlie could always "get saved." renounce his gayness..that sort of thing. I don't think it would play in Peoria however.

There are also rumors that Obama is the Islamic Jihad Manchurian Candidate. These issues will be explored in September.

Have you seen the Manchurian Candidate (mean the classic where Angela Landsbury plays the mom of a guy younger than her.  Ouch!).

If you have rent it and tell me whether Obama or McCain is more likely to be a Manchurian Candidate.

Pray away the Gay.

Evidently this takes about 6 weeks and is a 100% gauraunteed no questions asked cure.

Ken, I can send you some links if you want to give it a shot, assuming you are willing to put your "pipe-laying" days behind you.

Both guys have a limp wristed release.

In the case of Vince Young, it's very effective.

In the case of Charlie Crist, he just can't help it.

I was just thinking about how much I love Vince Young.  Or at least Longhorn Vince Young.

Yeah, I'm looking at you Jayar.  Incidentally you incorrectly stated that Lienart won the National Championship as a junior and came back and won the Heisman as a senior.  He actually won half of a NC (the crappy half) as a sophomore, won the Heisman and NC (a real one) as a junior and lost the Heisman to the overhyped joke that is Reggie Bush and lost the NC to Vince and the Horns as a senior.  Evidently, he did learn to dance though.

Oh and Vince outpassed Lienart that senior year and beat him head to head.  From what I remember Vince was at least a marginally better runner than Matt too.

But didn't she used to refer to Bush as her husband?

Considering that most of the conservatives on here and many elsewhere are conivinced that McCain is gonna ride to victory on the votes of inveterate racists, it seems Rice would almost ensure an Obama victory.

Also, her resume is absolutely pathetic and McCain might be better served making a suit out of faces of the soldiers who have died in Iraq.

It seems to me you word associate Condi Rice and a lot of people are gonna go with "Iraq War" and that is a loser.

Of course, McCain somehow thinks this is how he is gonna win, so.....

by ProfRich on 04/07/2008 12:56:10 AM EST

Condi's been quiet lately and has a reputation for being personally moderate even if she works for neocons.

by jarett on 04/07/2008 12:57:05 AM EST

And choosing her would seriously undercut either Barack or Hillary. But it would hurt Hillary more, because she has been running as the first female candidate, whereas Barack has been running for president only. She's made a real circus of the campaign and turned it into a sideshow. Such wasted potential.

The only people secretly chanting "he's gonna be the first black president" are the idiots in Hillary's camp who have been trying to turn him into a marginal ethnic freakshow.

I dunno if McCain will bite, but it would be brilliant in a way. On the other hand it will smack of "I'll see your shoulder-pad feminist and raise you a black female oil executive! Hah!". People would get over it eventually though.

And by the way, Condi is ALSO a way better politician than $%@# Hillary.

for 2 reasons

1) he will have to placate the religious right somehow at the convention. He will find the most moderate but least offensive (to the base) character he can to be VP.

2) After the convention McCain will veer left to appeal to the moderates and Reagan Dems (who hate Bush right now). He will not associate himself with Bush in any form, shape or fashion.

by LORD FOUL on 04/07/2008 08:46:17 AM EST

I dont think the bigots in the Republican Base would stand for it.  She has 2 problems with Republicans she is black and a woman.  Putting her 1 step away from the Presidency with a McCain health an Issue would not fly with these small minded people.
As for Democrats voting for her.   I think her record as National Security advisor during 9/11, build up to Iraq war, and her work as Secretary of State which is also abysmal will be played over and over in adds.

by jdenham on 04/07/2008 10:40:45 AM EST

I find it bizzare that people think this is a good idea on any level.

It seems to work only for the people who believe identity politics is the only concern.

And as McCain's running mate we have to seriously consider Preisdent Condi Rice.  Does that appeal to anyone (besides, of course, her "partner" and husband George).

And as far as saying she was a moderate voice among the neo-cons doesn't the fact that she got completely steamrolled on EVERY SINGLE decision really make it clear how weak and useless she really is?

Now, that would be a fabulous choice. I'd vote for her for president instead of Hillary any day. Connie Rice is Condi's cousin; Connie is everything good compared to Condi's bad attitude and lies. Connie can even speak better than Condi, and cares about people, doing things to help instead of licking Dumbya's boots. Best of all, unlike her cousin, Connie Rice has a hilarious sense of humour, especially with her own Top 10 lists. She's funny! POW! Take that Condi Rice.

Connie talks about Condi:

"She has an oil tanker named after her. I'm working on getting a Greenpeace trawler."

That's not the kind of thing you should just admit to a bunch of strangers.

Here's the single greatest Condi video on YouTube.

Now where are the ones with Obama doing the same shit?

Works both ways... And the Republicans remember well...

She'd probably be perfect for McCain. McCain needs a RINO with a sycophant mentality and Condi would work.

I still say he picks Rudy though,
